ISSFAM scholarships invite military personnel from the Mexican Army, Air Force, and Navy in active service and in retirement, to register a scholarship request for their school-age children in the selection contest for the granting of “SCHOLARSHIPS -ISSFAM” 2022 according to the following scholarship, which is published at www.gob.mx/issfam from July 1, 2022
What benefits do the ISSFAM Scholarships offer?
The total amount of each scholarship is $5,000.00 for the entire school year, which will be covered in a single payment; and it will be deposited on December 21, 2022, through Electronic Transfer (SPEI), in the number of the Standardized Bank Key (CLABE) that you capture on the website, which must coincide with the account statement that you attach to your procedure.
What are the requirements to achieve one of the ISSFAM Scholarships?
Active or retired military personnel with school-age children with a GPA EQUAL TO OR HIGHER THAN 8.9 are entitled to apply for ISSFAM SCHOLARSHIPS, in accordance with the following:

How do I apply?
1. Before making your scholarship application registration, you must carefully read the entire grant to consult the established requirements and have the original documentation at hand (including the account statement dated no more than three months) so that your capture coincides with the information of the documents that you attach to your application.
2. To register, you must enter the website of this Institute, through the Mozilla Firefox browser and through the link www.gob.mx/issfam, in the Scholarships-ISSFAM section.
3. Select the option “Register application for the first time or renew it”. 5. If you see this symbol (?) you must click on the question mark in the fields where it appears so that you know in detail the data that you must record.
4. Capture the request fields, following the instructions on the screen.
6. In the event that your registration contains a letter that precedes the numbers, you must enter it exactly as it appears on the identification card of the student, without hyphens and without spaces.
Example: B356233
7. If any name does not have a paternal or maternal surname, you must leave it blank.
8. No (negative) enter the letter “X” if you do not have any of the surnames mentioned above.
9. The average captured in the application must coincide with the grade that appears in the Proof of Studies, Academic History, Report Card, or Certificate of Studies issued by the SEP that is attached to its process, and must only record with two numerical characters, without round the number.

10. Given the Academic Record, Report Card, or Certificate of Studies issued by the SEP. You must enter the average in the request to two characters, (without rounding).

11. Pay special attention to the 18 numbers of the Standardized Bank Key (CLABE), which appears on your Bank Account Statement, because with a wrong digit, the Electronic Transfer (SPEI) of the scholarship amount can be sent to another person, and this movement will be unrecoverable, being the sole responsibility of the person requesting it, freeing this Institute from any responsibility for all the badly captured, erroneous or false data, it must also be certain that said account does not have a deposit limit and is ACTIVE until the date indicated in the Scholarship Calendar for the payment of the scholarship to be made by electronic transfer.
IMPORTANT: Once you finish capturing the request, a PDF file will be generated.
12. Immediately print the application generated by the system, verify if it is the first time or renewal, and check that the captured data coincides with the documents that must be attached depending on the type of procedure.
13. Once the System assigns your folio number, you will have a maximum of 48 hours to make corrections in the capture, once this term has expired, the request will be final and you will not be able to make any changes, leaving this Institute free of all responsibility for badly captured, erroneous or false data, so you must refrain from going to or calling the Institute to request any correction.
14. Sign the system-generated application, just like you would on your voter ID.
IMPORTANT: The name and signature of the applicant, the account statement, and the voting card must correspond to the same person. 16. In the event that, for various reasons, the military personnel cannot carry out the procedure, the student may do so only if he or she is of legal age, as well as the civilian mother or father of the student, attaching the documents required in numeral II of this scholarship.
15. Keep a copy of your application to check the results at the link www.gob.mx/issfam, selecting the option “Check the status of the application” as of December 16, 2022, and/or know the reason(s). of why your application did not participate in the selection contest so that you take the pertinent measures for next year. IMPORTANT: The statement of account and the voting card must correspond to the person who signs the application.
17. Before submitting or submitting your application, you must verify and ensure that the documentation meets all the requirements mentioned in this bursary and that there are no alterations, erasures, amendments, superimposed, incomplete, illegible, or invalid data and that the data captured in the system are exactly the same as those that appear in the application and in the documents attached to it. 18. 19. Applications from students who have completed the third year of high school will not proceed when they are sons or daughters of military personnel in active service, since the scholarship is awarded to the student who is enrolled at the secondary level. 21. Capture your registration until its conclusion without correcting any data, the system will assign you the folio number. 22. Enter the “Correct request” option to carry out the required correction. 23. Once you have made the correction, print your application, entering the “reprint application” option, in order to verify that your information has been updated. 24. Once your registration is complete, you will have a maximum of 48 hours to carry out any other changes to your information.
20. If your application has any inconsistency in the pre-filled information, you must take the following steps to correct the error:
IMPORTANT: If the CURP was incorrectly captured, you must make a new registration with the correct CURP, the system will assign another folio number that will be the one that must be taken into account.
What documents do I need?
DOCUMENTS FOR FIRST-TIME APPLICATIONS
1. Application completed online: Original, unscanned, handwritten signature (of the father, mother of the student, or of the student only if he/she is of legal age).
2. The signature must coincide with the voter identification card attached to the procedure. The application signed by the student will NOT be accepted if he/she is a minor.
3. Student’s ISSFAM affiliation ID: Valid copy, amplified to half letter size on both sides on a single front page.
4. Student’s CURP (a): Amplified letter size copy (new format).
5. Official report card issued by the SEP at the end of the school year: For Primary and Secondary, copy on both sides, you must verify that the Name, school grade, average obtained by the student, and school year are legible.
NOTES
A a. The name and signature of the application, the account statement, and the voting card must correspond to the same person (mother, father, or student, the latter only if they are of legal age).
b. Students entering the first year of secondary school may attach a copy of the official primary certificate, issued by the SEP, instead of a report card.
c. The average captured in your application must coincide with the Ballot or Certificate that you attach to your process.
d. In the case of electronic report cards, they will only be accepted with an electronic folio, QR code, and/or with an identifier that allows the authenticity of the document to be validated.
and. Proof of Studies or Academic History: Only for High School or Bachelor’s Degree Original or copy issued by the school, signed and stamped by the school authority, specifying: Average obtained by the student, date of preparation, name of the student, bimester, trimester, four-month period, semester or year, according to the school’s syllabus.
F. Students entering the first year of high school or starting a bachelor’s degree, instead of a report card, may attach a copy of the official secondary or high school certificate, as appropriate.
g. The average captured in your application must coincide with the Ballot or Certificate that you attach to your process.
h. Bank Statement of the person who signs the application and who will receive the deposit: Provided by the bank branch of your choice, with an issue date of no more than three months, which must contain: Date, the full name of the account holder and a legible and visible standardized bank code (CLABE).
Yo. The name on your statement must match the name on your voting card.
J. The interbank key number (CLABE) captured in your request must be the same as the account statement that you attach to your process.
k. Bank documents other than the Account Statement will NOT be accepted, such as Deposit slips, CLABE inquiries, balances, accounts, movements, screen printing, etc.
l. You must ensure that the account does not have a deposit limit and remains valid until the date on which the scholarship deposit is made.
m. A copy of the legible and valid voter ID of the person who signs the application.
n. Copy of Birth Certificate of the student.
DOCUMENTS FOR RENEWAL OF APPLICATIONS (IF YOU WERE AWARDED THE SCHOLARSHIP IN 2021)
1. Application required online: Original, unscanned, handwritten signature (of the father, mother of the student, or student only if older old).
1.1. You must check that the information pre-filled in your application corresponds to that required for this year.
1.2. The name and signature of the person requesting must match the voting card and the account statement.
1.3. The signature must coincide with the voting card attached to the procedure.
1.4. The application signed by the student will NOT be accepted if she is a minor.
1.5. Handwritten applications will not be accepted.
1.6. A copy of the legible and valid voter ID of the person who signs the application.
1.7. Copy of Birth Certificate of the student.
2. Official report card issued by the SEP at the end of the school year: For Primary and Secondary, copy on both sides, you must verify that the Name, school grade, average obtained by the student, and school year are legible.
2.1. Students entering the first year of secondary school may attach a copy of the official primary certificate, issued by the SEP, instead of a report card.

2.5. In the case of electronic report cards, they will only be accepted with an electronic folio, QR code, and/or with an identifier that allows the authenticity of the document to be validated.
3. SUBMISSION AND/OR DELIVERY OF DOCUMENTS
a. You must attach the documentation to the application in the order as found in “Required Documents”, without adding any other document, since this causes a delay in the process, and send it by your own means, through a courier service of the following way:

c. The date for receiving documents will begin on August 1, 2022, with the deadline for delivery to ISSFAM being September 19, 2022.
NOTES
a. Applications that are received with inconsistencies, without signing, incomplete, poorly captured, with alterations, erasures, amendments, superimposed or incomplete data, illegible, out of date, in copy, prepared by hand or after September 19, 2022 will not participate in the selection contest.
b. Once your procedure is received, the complementary or corrected documentation that you submit later will not be applicable, therefore, the status of the application will continue as “not applicable”, and you must register again until the next school year.
How is the intern selected?
SELECTION CRITERIA.
The ISSFAM SCHOLARSHIPS will be assigned among the applicants who meet the requirements and conditions established in the student grant, through the selection contest that is automatically carried out by the Institutional Information System of the Institute, which will take place on the 14th of December, applying the following criteria:
1. The best averages will be selected, in descending order from 10 to 8.7, until the number of authorized scholarships is covered.
2. In equality of averages, it will be awarded to the one with the lowest hierarchy.
3. With equal grades, the earliest date of receipt of the application and documents will be considered.
4. With equal grades and reception dates, the strict alphabetical order will be applied, starting with the paternal surname.
5. In the event that one Secretariat does not cover the number of scholarships authorized, it will be assigned to the other, so that the entire budget allocated for Scholarships is used.
What else do I need to know?
IMPORTANT NOTES
1. Applications received: incomplete, poorly captured, with inconsistencies, made by hand or after September 19, 2022, will not participate in the selection contest.
2. Once your process has been received, the complementary or corrected documentation that you submit later will not be applicable, therefore, the status of the application will continue as “not applicable”, and you must register again until the next school year.
CORRESPONDING TO THE APPLICANT
a. Carefully read the scholarship to consult the established requirements and have the original documentation on hand (including the account statement not older than three months) to register.
b. Review and adhere to the dates established in the Scholarship calendar published on the website.
c. Carry out the procedure as established in the scholarship, since failure to comply with any of the points indicated in it will cause your application not to participate in the selection contest, in this school year, so you must refrain from going to or calling the Institute to request any correction since this would cause a delay in the process, having to wait until the next school year to register again.
d. In case of requesting a scholarship for more than one child, you must attach the documentation indicated for each request.
and. Verify that the Name of the holder in the Account Statement is the same as that of the voter credential.
F. Verify that the bank account number you enter on the website is the same as the one that appears on your application and that it matches the Account Statement attached to your application. Likewise, you must ensure that the account does not have a deposit limit and remains active until the date indicated in the Scholarship Calendar, on which the payment of the scholarship will be made by electronic transfer, in case the transfer cannot be made. electronically on the date indicated, when the electronic banking reports the payment as rejected due to the wrong account, inactive account, returned by the destination bank, or any other reason, the benefit will be canceled.
g. LEGAL FRAMEWORK. Law of the Social Security Institute for the Mexican Armed Forces (ISSFAM), 2003.” …Article 18.- The benefits that will be granted in accordance with this Law are the following:
XVIII SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS AND CREDITS
1. “…Article 138.- The Institute will study and propose to the Federal Executive on how to solve the problems related to scientific and technical training and the social improvement of the children of the military active and retired.
1.1. For the purpose indicated in the preceding paragraph, the Institute will be empowered to grant scholarships and credits for scientific and technological training for children of military personnel, in accordance with its resources and the scholarship and credit plan, approved annually by the Federal Executive.”
1.2. Regulation of the Law of the Social Security Institute for the Mexican Armed Forces.
2. “…Article 70.- The scholarships and credits for scientific and technological training will be granted to the children of active and retired military personnel who are studying in schools registered with the Ministry of Public Education, in accordance with the requirements and conditions of the call issued annually by the institute as long as there is budget availability, for which the interested parties will submit their request through the means established in the said scholarship application.
3. “…Article 71.- The Institute, through the Secretary of origin, will annually publish the student grant for scholarships approved by the Board of Directors for the corresponding school year”.
4. “…Article 72.- The requirements, conditions, and procedure for granting and canceling scholarships will be established in the student grant”.
5. “…Article 74.- The amounts of the scholarships will be determined by the Board of Directors, in accordance with the scholarship and loan plan approved by the Federal Executive”.
