International Students Need a Work Permit

Students should know that working in the city of Dubai is not allowed for international students. Especially while they are focusing on their studies. That is, unless the students have work permits which will need to be applied for before arriving to the United Arab Emirates.

However, local citizens are able to 6 hours per day, but as long as they do not mess out on important attendance at their universities.

A work permit can be applied for at the same time when applying for a student visa. This is an essential and important aspect if a student wants to be able to stay and study in the United Arab Emirates. If a student does not secure work permit, then that student will need to find scholarships to apply to or general funding to pay off for their rest of their academic year.

In this respect, international students can see why work-study programs are hard or difficult to come by. Because not just anyone can sign up for a work-study course unless the student has a work permit.
