The Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme at ETH Zurich assists outstanding candidates who aspire to pursue a Master’s degree at ETH (ESOP).
The following scholarship program is offered by ETH Zurich to outstanding Master’s students:
The ETH Foundation’s Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP) provides students with a scholarship, mentorship, and a network. During the Master’s degree program, the scholarship covers all study and living expenses.

Scholarship Requirement:
Excellent students from the ETH and other universities (national and international) who intend to pursue their Master’s degree at ETH Zurich are eligible for the scholarship programs.
You must have received an excellent mark in their Bachelor’s program (top 10% of Bachelor’s programs Equals grade A). You should also ensure that you can be reached at the phone number listed on your CV, as the selection process may include a phone/VC interview in February.
Application Processes
To be considered for the scholarship, you must apply to ETH Zurich for a Master’s degree program. In addition to the materials required for Master’s admission, you must also submit a preliminary proposal for your master’s thesis. Before December 15, 2021, the scholarship application form and supporting materials must be submitted online.

The Master’s thesis pre-proposal must be written by you and must follow recognized scientific citation guidelines.
Plagiarism, negligence or purposeful disinformation, or both, will result in disqualification from the admission process or, if discovered later, revocation of admission and any scholarship.
If your studies program does not require references, you must provide two for your ESOP application.
