These Research Scholarships are available to students pursuing research courses. Grants are awarded for independent research. The IBRO African Regional Committee (IBRO-ARC) offers prizes of up to €4,000 each to the successful candidate.
#2. WWF Prince Bernhard Grants for Nature Conservation

#4. Crick African Network African Career Accelerator Postdoctoral Research Awards
Postdoctoral Research Awards from the Crick African Network African Career Accelerator are available to pursue the postdoctoral program.
Thematic areas of research should focus on infectious diseases of poverty with an emphasis on tuberculosis, malaria, and HIV/AIDS, but also extend to neglected tropical diseases or non-communicable diseases. Six (6) scholarships worth up to approximately £130,000 will be awarded.

The EduAfrica Scholarship is an annual scholarship open to students in Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, and Ph.D. programs inside and outside Africa.
The scholarship award includes:
- Three $250 Scholarships for Africa-Based Students: One will be awarded to each Undergraduate, Master, and Ph.D.

#7. African Academy of Sciences Post-Doctoral Training Initiative Fellowship Program
The fellowship is available to pursue a postdoctoral program. APTI Fellows will lead major research programs in their home countries and institutions.
After successful completion of the two-year postdoctoral fellowship, students will receive 50% salary support for an additional two years to help them transition to independent research.

#8. RUFORUM Postdoctoral Fellowships for Africans
Scholarships are available to pursue the postdoctoral program.
The award for this call is a maximum of US$60 per scholarship and will cover:
- Stipend: $26,400 – equivalent to $1,200 for 10 months in year 1 and 12 months in year 2.
- Research Funds: $26,700 to support the research activities of the Post-Doctoral Team which will include Ph.D. and master’s degree students to conduct research under the fellow’s supervisor.
- Special Mentor Support: $3,600 will be retained by RUFORUM to support the Mentoring Program. The cost of the mentor covers the bank fees, the hosting fees, and the cost of the mentor who visits some of the research centers and participates in the call together with the postdoctoral fellows.

#10. Fully Funded African Biomedical Engineering Mobility (ABEM) Graduate Scholarships
These scholarships are available to pursue master’s and doctoral programs. ABEM Individual Scholarships cover a return flight ticket, visa costs, participation costs (which may include tuition fees, registration fees, and service fees), comprehensive insurance coverage (health, accident, and travel), and a monthly subsistence allowance from which the scholarship recipients must cover accommodation expenses.
