Scholarship details
The Emil & Gail Fischer Northeast Wisconsin Master Gardeners Award is an annual $1,000 reward. This means it is possible to renewal to win this award amount again the following years. Not only is the state of Wisconsin beautiful but a top career in the state is horticulture. This scholarship is a great starting point to lend your higher education a hand towards a passionate career.
Eligibility & Requirements
- This scholarship is for new high school graduates and currently enrolled students pursuing a career in horticulture.
- Applicants must have resided for at least one year in one of the following Wisconsin counites: Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Oconto, Shawano, Outagamie, or Manitowoc.
- To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must attend an accredited technical college or four-year college or university and demonstrate financial need.
- Applicants must study one of the following: (1) plant sciences including botany and plant ecology, (2) horticulture science, (3) forestry, (4) entomology, or (5) plant pathology.
How to Apply
- To apply, you need to qualify and register (Dec. 1 – Mar. 15)
- The application process will take 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete. The system times out so SAVE your work often!
- Most recent high school transcript
- ACT or SAT Scores.
- Student Aid Report (SAR) showing Expected Family Contribution (EFC). This report is available after you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Minimum of $1,000 for one year, renewable, must reapply
