Candidates’ Selection
The scholarship winners will be picked based on many factors, such as their grades, leadership experience, community activities, awards, work experience, and personal statements. Scholarship America will also look at their financial need to decide if they will receive the award.
The selection process has two steps. First, Scholarship America will choose the finalists. Then, a selection committee will interview the finalists and choose the winners. All applicants have to accept the final decision, even if they don’t get the scholarship.
Applicants will find out if they are selected in May. However, not everyone who applies will receive the scholarship.
