Scholarship details
The F. Lammot Belin Arts Scholarship has been around for nearly half a century a married couple who profoundly has been able to promote a $10,000 prize to any student who is working towards a career in the arts such as painting, sculpture, photography, music, drama, dance, literature, and architecture.
Anyone interested will need to provide proof or evidence that the passion they have chosen to pursue is indeed a life-long career they will keep pursuing. This scholarship and foundation were created to help artists to keep going when their funding may not be an option. The real way a student will be granted this scholarship will be based on their excellent status as academic and financial assistance may need to be noted by the student.
Are You Eligible for this Opportunity
What makes a student eligible for this scholarship and what is needed when it comes to documents when applying?
- Applicants must be residents of Northeastern Pennsylvania, United States.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of Pennsylvania, United States.
- Applicants can reside or have in the past resided in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
- Applicants do not need to be current or past graduate students. The only real eligible options that are needed are the living and citizenship of the student applying.
- Students must be passionate about their choice of study and future career profession. These subject fields are listed above.
Requirements for this Scholarship
There are a few major requirements for this scholarship/grant which include the student finding a program or course that is approved by the Selection Committee and the Board of Trustees of The Waverly Community House, Inc.
Reward – Extra Benefits Included
The annual rewarded amount is $10,000 USD in total. This amount does need to be reported to the IRS. With the previous sentence in mind, students will need to send and report at least two progress reports to the Administrative Chairperson.
If the above requirements are not represented and the student does not follow what needs to be done, the grant/scholarship will be terminated.

How to Apply for this Scholarship
There are a set of rules to follow for this scholarship. Students or applicants will need to thoroughly read through the original website which is linked to this post. From there these student will need to identify everything they need to turn in and wait the 90 days before finding out if they have qualified and will move on to a finalist decision.
With there a number of steps, the biggest one is that the student has lived or is living in Pennsylvania. If the student is not or has not, they are immediately not deemed eligible for this option.
Deadline Date
The deadline date for this scholarship application is January 15, 2023. Which means this deadline date is fast approaching and needs to be completed and sent in to the Waverly Community House, Inc.
From the time a student sends in their application, they will have to wait 90 days before being notified if they have qualified or not for this opportunity.
Open Submission Window Time Frame
The open submission window time frame is a 40 day window before January 15, 2023. The January 15th date is the official deadline date. There are instructions that give further information if the 15th lands on a weekend.
Annual or Renewable Scholarship Options that are Available to Students
This is an annual option for new students who are studying in the United States. This is not a renewable option since this is a one-time prize of $25,000 USD which the student can use to further their studies in music.
