To provide assistance to the ASEAN Countries, the University of Aukland offers the ASEAN High Achievers Scholarship for the academic year of 2023-2024. The scholarship is intended to help them further their higher education without financial barriers to developing their leadership and professional skills.

ASEAN High Achievers Scholarship

The scholarship will be amounting to up to $10,000 to cover their tuition fees for the Bachelor, postgraduate, and master’s degree programs at the university.

Established in 2022, the ASEAN High Achievers Scholarship program offered by the University of Auckland aims to attract new international students who can demonstrate their academic excellence from any of the eligible ASEAN countries to be admitted to a full-time degree program for one or more years at the university.

The scholarship will also help the students focus on their education to help them develop more skills and knowledge that they may be needing for their personal and professional future. Students may be able to contribute to their home countries as a professional and leaders of the next generations.

Scholarship Eligibility 

Before proceeding with the application, the applicants must meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarship.

  • Must be an International student from any of the ASEAN member countries.
  • Must be new students who have already received an unconditional or conditional offer of admission.
  • Enlisted or enrolled full-time in either a Postgraduate (PGDip) or masters level of 120 places or more, master by the thesis, or a college degree (applying with abroad optional or postsecondary capabilities) at Waipapa Taumata Rau | the University of Auckland. Students who have proactively started study at Waipapa Taumata Rau | the University of Auckland, students who have embraced any tertiary level study in New Zealand, or students signing up for a Business masters program in the Doctoral level college of The board (GSM), exclude the Business Analytics and Master of Supply Chain Management are not qualified to apply for the Scholarship. 180 point masters certifications that incorporate a proposal of 90 places or more are not qualified programs for this Scholarship.
  • A grade point same (GPE) of no less than 6.00 is expected for Scholarship consideration.
  • Must have good communication skills in oral and written English.

Scholarship Awards

The University of Auckland will be providing financial assistance amounting to up to $10,000 towards the successful student’s tuition fee. The scholarship award rate will be Biannually and will be awarded in the first year of their academic at the university.

To better maintain the scholarship awards, the students must meet the required GPA for the program.

Scholarship Application Deadline 

The deadline to complete and submit the application until April 20, 2023, and November 21, 2023. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered, the university encourages the applicants to apply as early as possible to be familiarized with the application portal.
