The University of Missouri is located in Columbia, Missouri which is situated right in the middle of the “show me” state. This university is actually part of a public land-grant that is better known as a “research grant project.” In the whole state of Missouri, the University of Missouri is known as the largest school grounds there. As a matter of fact, the Mizzou state school is 4 campus’ strung together to create a huge public university area. It would take till the 1830’s for the University of Missouri to be founded. Association of American Universities is also part of the Mizzou tradition and officially clarified as the first university west of the Mississippi territory.
According to statistics from 2019 – 2020, more than 30,000 students had been accepted through admissions. With over 400 known programs where degrees could be declared from with well over several academic branches or divisions.
Funny enough, the University of Missouri is most know for it’s school of journalism. This part of the university was discovered, thanks to, Walter Williams. Essentially this was the official and only journalism school for 20 years before another one would be founded later on.
Incredible enough, the Columbia Missourian was curated from this school of journalism, which also works with the tv station, NBC. The University of Missouri Research Reactor Center is actually the number one and only United States center for all things nuclear medicine. The other subject or career choice that is involved and well known with the University of Missouri is healthcare, medicine, and childcare.
Based on statistics with how many new incoming students are enrolled per year, on average around 80% are accepted. However, split in half is international students who are transferring from different colleges.
To be accepted all students who are seeking admissions should have a general or minimum grade point average of 3.6, or acquire an SAT of 1200+/1600, also, students would need to provide their ACT scores.
Missouri University is a member of the Association of American Universities and classified among “R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity”. According to the National Science Foundation, Missouri University spent $256 million on research and development in 2018, ranking it 93rd in the nation. Missouri University is also one of two designated land-grant universities in the state, along with Lincoln University.

Eligibility
- Must be an international student or transfer student
- Both male and female students may apply
- All students will need to pay the admissions fee (no matter what)
- All international students are required to work a minimum of 20 hours each week (this is only for Spring semester and Fall semester)
Requirements
First off, there is a one-time enrollment fee that will need to be paid by all students (not matter if they are an international student or not) – this fee is $300 USD.
How to Apply
The main important point is that international/transfer students would need to have their immigration documents sorted and ready to apply fora student visa.
All applicants need to fill out the scholarship application that is available via the e-mail listed on this page. Once students fill out the application, they should know that any information that they send in via the form cannot be altered afterward. When the application is sent in, it’s finalized as the official version of an applicant’s form. Which will be judge by an admission panel.
Students will need to have a letter from their bank or at least the bank that will grant the funds to be released to the university to pay for tuition.
Applicants should understand that they need to prove that the tuition will be paid upfront, along with any application fees that are presented.
Letters of recommendations will be asked for, along with all transcripts that need to be sent in as well. Scans are not admissible but photo copies and digital files are accepted.
This is considered an international/transfer automatic scholarship based on the fact that students who enroll or are admitted first to this university, will be automatically capable to send in their scholarship form.

Reward – Extra Benefits
Students who end up being the recipients of this scholarship award will receive $10,000 USD. The individual tuition semester costs are slightly under $13,000 USD. Meaning that $10,000 USD of that funding will go towards the tuition overall cost, leaving student will only needing to pay around $2,000 USD.
Deadline
The individual deadlines for this scholarship are all Spring, Fall, and Winter semesters. That means students will need to figure out which semester as a student, they would like to apply towards.
Open Window Submission Time Frame
There are three separate open window submission time frames, which are the Fall, Spring, and Winter semesters. This means students could opt out to apply to a different semester if all of the student visa paperwork takes longer to go through and become official documents to travel.
Annual
This is an annual scholarship that is presented each year to certain students that will be chosen as recipients.
