About the Scholarship:

The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, commonly referred to as RMIT Institution, is an Australian research university that was founded in Melbourne in 1888. Among other things, the institution has a large campus and is well-known throughout the world for delivering excellent vocational and professional education, as well as applied research and other services. In 1887, Francis Ormond set the groundwork for the establishment of the university. At its inception, it served as a night school where students may take courses in technology, art, and science, among other subjects. In 1992, the university was granted the status of public university for the first time. Approximately 87,000 students are enrolled at RMIT University each year. This includes 34,347 international, onshore and offshore students. In addition, the university earns $54.1 million in revenue from its research. Among art and design subjects, the university is ranked 11th in the world, according to Times Higher Education. The main campus of RMIT University is located in the heart of Melbourne city and has significant historical significance due to its location in the city’s oldest sector, which gives the campus a significant amount of historical significance. The Bundoora Campus and the Brunswick Campus are the other two campuses of the institution located in Australia. In addition, it has two regional locations and two campuses in Vietnam, as well as a center in the country of Spain. After a few years, the campus has grown to include 87 structures. The distinctive feature of RMIT Campus is that there are no boundary walls, and the entire university, as well as the six city blocks, encompass a vast area of around 720,000 sqm. RMIT University is located in Melbourne, Australia. More than 437,000 graduates from RMIT University are actively employed in more than 130 countries, demonstrating the strength of the university’s alumni community. When it comes to working with and supporting Aboriginal self-determination, RMIT is redefining its relationship with the institution. In order to achieve long-term change, the University must mature its values, culture, policies, and structures in such a way that reconciliation becomes an integral part of everything it does on its campus. Indigenous and non-Indigenous people are being brought together through RMIT’s efforts to promote reconciliation and build bridges between them. A large portion of the Woi Wurrung and Boon Wurrung language groups of the eastern Kulin Nation reside on the unceded grounds of RMIT’s three Melbourne campuses – Melbourne City, Brunswick, and Bundoora.  A research and industry collaboration center in Barcelona, Spain, as well as two campuses and a language center in Vietnam, make up RMIT’s global university presence. Additionally, RMIT has research and industry partnerships on every continent, with programs available in destinations such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, and China. In the QS World University Rankings of 2021, RMIT was ranked 223rd. Aside from these accolades, the University is ranked 18th globally amongst the Top 50 Universities Under 50 Years Old, and 8th in Australia and 39th in East Asia and the Pacific.
