The Master’s Scholarships is available to candidates who are classified as International for Fee Status. The awarded scholarships will range in value from £9,000 to £10,000, depending on the subject area and course fee.
The Master’s Scholarships at Strathclyde Business School are merit-based, focusing on the candidates’ academic excellence, both in their Scholarship Application and their Master’s program application. These scholarships are not based on financial need. Scholarship Eligibility
Before proceeding with the application, the students must meet the following:
- Applicants must be responsible for financing their own studies (i.e., not receiving financial support from other scholarships, employer sponsorship, etc.). Additionally, they should have received an offer of admission to one of our Full-Time MSc programs for the September 2023 intake. Moreover, candidates must be classified as International for Fee Status, as per the university’s criteria.
- Applicants who wish to apply for the scholarship should submit a statement of up to 1000 words. This statement should effectively showcase their ideas, experiences, and future career aspirations. They should articulate their motivations for choosing their desired program and present compelling reasons why they should be selected for the scholarship. The selection process will take into account the overall quality of the application, including the statement, as well as the candidate’s financial needs.
- Candidates must have good communication skills in oral and written English.
- Must meet the admission criteria of the university.
Application Process
- The applicants must obtain an offer to study a Full-Time Postgraduate course with Strathclyde Business School before proceeding with the scholarship application.
- Ensure that the application number provided is valid and accurate, as any incorrect or false numbers will result in disqualification from consideration.
- Avoid submitting duplicate applications, as only the first application received will be considered.
- Take care to avoid using standard or template-based statements of purpose (SOP), personal statements, or duplicate program essays, as these will not be considered for the scholarship.
- It is important to be aware that due to the high volume of applications, only successful applicants will be notified. However, all applications received before the deadline will remain under consideration.
- Complete all the necessary documents needed to support the application.
Scholarship Award
The scholarship awards may vary depending on the successful students’ chosen courses, the awards will be amounting between £9,000 and £10,000.
Scholarship Awardee Commitments
The scholars are expected to be actively engaged in various activities during their study period which includes the following:
- Actively participate in applicant forums, providing helpful information and insights about the relevant course.
- Take an active role in either the social committee or class representative committee, contributing to the overall student experience.
- Volunteer as an admissions contact, serving as a point of contact for prospective students and assisting them with their inquiries.
- Assist the school in organizing and managing events, contributing to their development and smooth execution.
- Maintain communication with alumni even after completing the MSc program, fostering a strong network and engagement within the alumni community.
Application Deadline
The deadline to complete and submit the application is until July 31, 2023. late and incomplete applications will not be considered. However, please note that the scholarship application will be open annually.
