The Ross University School of Medicine was established in the year 1978. Ross University School of Medicine or known in its abbreviated form (RUSM) has been a higher education institution that provides students with the foundation needed for a career in medicine or medical practice. they need to pursue successful careers in medicine for over 40 years. Eligibility
- This scholarship is only available to first-time students at the Ross University School of Medicine.
- Students who are eligible for this scholarship include Canadian citizens or permanent citizens of Canada.
- International students that are not Canadian will not be considered for this opportunity.
- There is no need to apply for this scholarship besides holding citizenship in Canada.
- First time students that are taking the Medical Education Readiness Program are not eligible to apply.
- This scholarship does need a provided admissions application from the student that become a recent enrolled classmate. This admissions’ application will help the committee to determine if the student will be the correct student to win this scholarship.
The above eligibility standards does show that the student will be reviewed on these aspects but it does not mean a 100% guarantee that the student will be picked to receive this immense reward.
However, more than one student can receive this award in the same academic year. Up to 10 students may receive this scholarship in 2023.
Requirements
Students that are interested in applying for this specific scholarship will need to provide proof that they are a citizen or permanent lawful resident of Canada. This items will be needed to prove this quality:
- Proof of Canadian citizenship
- Birth certificate
- Current address
How to Apply
There is no application or applying necessary for this scholarship. Instead only incoming new freshman students are considered applicable as well as being a Canadian citizen. Citizens that are not from Canada will not be picked to receive this award.
Student Visa
A student visa will be needed for the Canadian students who are chosen to receive this incredible award. Canadian students will be able to acquire a student visa to Dominica by sending in the proper government documents to the Canadian Dominica Embassy.
Reward – Extra Benefits
The reward is spread throughout at least 10 semesters, the total amount is $100,000. This what is called a full-ride scholarship where all the funding is meant to pay off each part of the schooling experience. This means students would not be paying anything out of their own bank accounts.
Deadline Time Line
The deadline date follows the university’s official date of when all acceptable admissions applications are due. This day is July 15, 2023. This is the only date where all applications will be required to be summitted, there is no information on extending application admission dates.
Open Submission Window Time Frame
The open submission window date begins in May 2023. From there students will have until July 15, 2023 to submit their application if they wish to become a student at Ross University. The reason the deadline date is the official date to go by is because the first year new students are chosen for this specific scholarship award.
Essentially the scholarship committee will choose students that are deemed the correct fit from their transcripts and admission application. From there the other eligible factors for this scholarship such as citizenship will come into play. Afterwards, a final round of interviews may be given to the remaining potential candidates.
Annual or Renewable Scholarship Options
This is an annual scholarship that lasts for the given time frame. This is not a renewable scholarship option.
