We are glad to provide two Equal Access Scholarships to undergraduate students seeking shelter in the United Kingdom. Please keep in mind that you must have applied to the University of York before applying for this scholarship.
About the Scholarship:
The University of York opened its doors in 1963 with 230 students. It now has approximately 16,000 students as well as over 30 academic departments and research centers. It is a member of the Russell Group and is consistently ranked among the top institutions in the United Kingdom. York was placed tenth out of 155 UK institutions for the effect of its research in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework. York was named Times Higher Education University of the Year in 2010 for its commitment to balancing academic brilliance with social inclusiveness, as well as its track record of scientific discovery and investment in the arts and humanities. The university had only 28 employees and six departments when it first opened: economics, English, education, history, politics, and mathematics.Currently, the institution has nine colleges as well as over 30 research institutes and academic departments. It’s only two hours from London and 20 minutes from Leeds, and it’s right on the doorstep of the lovely Yorkshire countryside and sea. This 57-year-old UK higher-education school has a stringent admission procedure that is based on students’ previous academic records and ratings. Former South Korean Prime Minister Han Seung-soo Peter Hitchens is a journalist and novelist who writes for The Mail. Among his best-known works are ‘The Abolition of Britain,’ ‘The War We Never Fought,’ and ‘The Rage Against God.’

Scholarship Offer:
- Tuition fee remission will be provided to successful applicants of the University of York – Equal Access Scholarships in the UK, 2022.
- A maintenance award of GBP 10,660 has been made.
Eligibility for Scholarship.
- Have discretionary or limited leave to remain in the UK, or are a dependent or partner of someone who has discretionary or limited right to remain, or have made an asylum or humanitarian protection application and have not yet received a decision.
- You applied for asylum when you arrived in the UK, and you applied for a university place before that.
- Not having completed a bachelor’s degree
- You must have a conditional or unconditional offer from York for a four-year undergraduate study and have selected York your first option (firm preference) through UCAS.
