The city of Melbourne is on a long peninsula that juts out into the ocean, making it subject to a wide range of climatic conditions. Because of its location between the arid heartland and the mild seas of the Southern Ocean, Melbourne has a mild and pleasant climate. After being out in the elements for a while, a severe cold front may arrive. As spring and summer continue, more of the setting will become visible. These fronts have the potential to deliver severe cold, hail, severe thunderstorms, and high winds as they sweep over the country. Furthermore, they may cause a worldwide frost and persistent rainfall. Melbourne’s average winter lows are 20-30 degrees below those of the other mainland Australian state capitals. Even though snow is rare, temperatures as low as -2.8 degrees Celsius have been reported. The lack of winter snowfall is one of Melbourne’s defining characteristics. Rather than a jacket, you should invest in a warm Canadian-made coat for the next fall months.
