Are you looking for a scholarship to study in Denmark, one of the happiest and most innovative countries in the world? Do you want to pursue a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in a wide range of fields and disciplines? Do you want to experience the high quality of education, research, and life in a Nordic country? If yes, then you might be interested in applying for the Danish Government Scholarship.

The Danish Government Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship program that aims to attract and support highly qualified and motivated international students from non-EU/EEA countries and Switzerland. The scholarship is offered by the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science in collaboration with selected Danish higher education institutions. The scholarship covers both tuition fees and living expenses for the duration of your study program.

The scholarship is available for full degree programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD level, as well as for short-term courses or summer schools. You can choose from a variety of academic fields and disciplines, such as engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, arts, health sciences, and more. You can also find programs that are taught in English or Danish, depending on your preference and proficiency.

The scholarship consists of two parts: a full tuition fee waiver and a grant to assist with living costs. The tuition fee waiver covers the entire cost of your study program, regardless of the amount or duration. The grant amounts to DKK 6090 per month before taxes, which is equivalent to about USD 950 or EUR 800. The grant is paid monthly by your host institution and can be used to cover your accommodation, food, transportation, books, and other expenses.

To be eligible for the Danish Government Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

• You must be a citizen of a country outside the EU, EEA (the European Economic Area) or Switzerland.

• You must have applied for admission to a full degree program or a short-term course at one of the participating Danish higher education institutions.

• You must have been granted a time-limited residence permit in Denmark for the purpose of studying.

• You must have an excellent academic record and demonstrate strong motivation and potential for your chosen field of study.

You are not eligible for the Danish Government Scholarship if you:

• Have a legal claim to the rights of Danish citizens.

• Are eligible for a grant or loan from the Danish State Educational Grant and Loan Scheme (SU).

• Have been granted a residence permit in Denmark as the child of a foreign citizen who has a residence permit based on employment or family reunification.

To apply for the Danish Government Scholarship, you must first apply for admission to your desired study program or course at one of the participating Danish higher education institutions. You can find a list of these institutions and their application procedures on the official website. You must submit your application before the deadline specified by each institution, which may vary depending on the level and type of program or course.

Once you have applied for admission, you will automatically be considered for the scholarship by your host institution. You do not need to submit a separate application or essay for the scholarship. The selection process will be based on your academic merit, motivation, and potential. The number and amount of scholarships awarded will depend on the availability of funds and the quality of applicants. You will be notified by your host institution if you have been selected for the scholarship.

The Danish Government Scholarship is an amazing opportunity for international students who want to study in Denmark and experience its culture, society, and innovation. If you think you have what it takes to become a Danish Government Scholar, don’t hesitate to apply today and join a community of talented and diverse students who are making a difference in the world.
