Scholarship details
The Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia and the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes offer scholarships for study or research to foreign students and teachers of higher education institutions as well as research fellows who intend to gain further professional experience in Croatian institutions of higher education or research.
Eligibility
- The Scholarships are open to higher education students and university staff conducting research or teaching activities.
- International students can apply.
Requirements
Bilateral programs of mobility in higher education (Bilateral Scholarships) are based on bilateral agreements and programs involving scholarship exchange. The different bilateral contracts serve as the basis for exchange between Croatia and various other countries with which Croatia has a valid agreement on cooperation in the fields of science and education.
Each year potential candidates from around the world are invited to apply for the Croatian Government Scholarships that are on offer to students and teachers. The Call for Applications is usually open during March and April for the next academic year. The Call is published on the official websites of both bodies that are responsible for the implementation of the Bilateral Scholarships (the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes and the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia).
How to Apply
For applicants to apply, there are officially two ways. One is to use the Bilateral Agreement to apply for this scholarship. The only way to request this scholarship is to send an inquiry email to the email address provided to receive an application.
Reward
The awarded mobilities should be implemented during the academic year 2021/2022 (from October 1, 2021, to September 30, 2022, July and August excluded).
- Full or partial/semester undergraduate (BA) or graduate (MA) studies (scholarship types: A1, A2, B).
- 1.600,00 HRK monthly grant.
- Subsidized accommodation in the student residence hall and subsidized meals at student restaurants.
- Summer course of 2 weeks (scholarship type: F)
Deadline
The Scholarships offer opportunities for study or research in any field of study during the granted mobility period at an accredited public Croatian higher education or research institution to be determined in advance. The deadline for both the applicants and the foreign partner institutions is May 14, 2022.
Annual
This is an annual and reoccurring scholarship program.
