The NUR University was curated by the NUR Foundation originally. The NUR Foundation is a not-for-profit organization. The establishment of this university was in 1984 but did not fully become an academic institution until the following year.
An incredible piece of history was how the higher education institution ended up training over 300 rural-based teachers in 1996 to help further expand the education system.

Eligibility
- There is no one subject field that has main priority over others. All subject fields are considered eligible for this scholarship option in Bolivia.
- Since this scholarship is awarded based on merit status, that means students who are academically inclined with their studies.
- Only full-time enrolled students are eligible for this scholarship opportunity.
- Part of the merit qualifications includes the basis of BISE Examinations: These type of marks are needed to an exact:
96% and above – 80%
86% to 90% – 60%
76% to 80% – 40%
66% to 70% – 20%
60% to 65% – 10%

Requirements
The absolute requirements are listed as exams that have been taken:
- BISE Examinations
- DPT
- A-Levels
- CGPAs – For Undergraduates (CPGA 3.91 to CGPA 4.00 = 40%)
- CGPAs – For Post Graduate = (CPGA 3.91 to CGPA 4.00 = 40%)
How to Apply
The only way to apply for a merit based scholarship is to have the high excellent grades and grade point average, along with high examine marks that show that the student is an academic achiever. This way the student who is already enrolled at the university will be sought out by the university to be awarded this scholarship option.
This means that the student does not need to send in a separate scholarship application form, instead the student will be picked from the highest group of academic students to receive this award.
However, the scholarship can be cancelled based on if their is not enough funding. Students will be notified beforehand about this matter.
Reward – Extra Benefits
This scholarship will be approved by the Financial Budget provided by the Finance Department which means this scholarship does vary in award amount.
Once the student has been awarded this scholarship it is their duty to fulfill the time that is needed to keep this scholarship. That means the student must attend full-time without any absence. Unless it involves a medical or family emergency.
The award amount will automatically go towards paying off tuition fees.
Deadline Time Line
While students can simply apply online at any point, it is regarded that if a student applies in the Fall, they will be accepted as a following Spring undergraduate. The same goes for if the student sends in their admissions online in the Summer, then that undergraduate student will become a full-time student in the following Winter.
The reason this is done is because NUR university acts as both an online distant learning education center and as a in-person college campus. So there is a big variety that students can choose from when it comes to flexibility.
Open Submission Window Time Frame
The open submission is currently open, as long as the original website shares that students can apply right now, then the submission window is open. Luckily, students will see that this university looks to place students into the current semester season no matter what time of year they apply for admissions. This university does not follow the traditional time line of deadlines and open submissions.

Annual or Renewable Scholarship Option
This is an annual scholarship that is not renewed, but must be applied for each year to be awarded for a different grade level. Since this involves undergraduates and post graduate students that means there grades must be exceptional to be considered again for this scholarship option.
