Eligibility
The International Merit Scholarship will only be available to the students who will meet the eligibility criteria of the university. It is important that the students will be able to meet the eligibility criteria before proceeding to the application process online.

- International students who are eligible to be admitted and study in Australia.
- The students who already accepted an offer or other scholarship or bursary at the University of South Australia will not be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Students must meet the admission requirements depending on the degree level.
- GPA must be 5.0 or above achieving the equivalent average of the university
- Must have a conditional offer for the completion of the awards
- International students must meet the English language requirement
The students will be automatically assessed if they applied for an eligible bachelor’s or master’s degree at the university.
Application Process
International students who wish to be admitted or enrolled at the university must be able to find the best degree or courses they wanted to pursue. After choosing what’s the best degree for you, students can check the entry requirements, to meet the entry requirements students must be able to demonstrate their:

English Language Requirements
Added to the information, international students who speak English as a foreign language must have achieved one of the following standards in the last two years prior to their admission. Having one or more of the English qualifications in addition to academic entry requirements does not in itself guarantee an acceptance to the University. Applications will be considered based on the individual and the selection is competitive.
The English language requirements will be depending on the student’s degree. IELTS will be overall of 6.0 for the undergraduate degree and 6.5 for the graduate degree.

All application forms and admission must be completed, keep in mind that the scholarship for the international students will be conducted by the scholarship committee and students must be able to show evidence of their academic excellence to be considered. If you have any documents that can prove more of your academic merit, it is best to submit them along with your admission and application online.
International Merit Scholarship will not accept the following:
- A citizen/permanent resident in Australia
- Sponsored students in Australia
- Research Applicants
- Current Students at University of South Australia
- Those who already accepted the scholarship last year will also not be qualified to join again.
Scholarship Benefits
The University of South Australia will be provided a 15% tuition fee to limited international students. The students must meet the scholarship condition to maintain the awards.
- 15% tuition fee reduction will be provided to successful international students.
- It is important that the awardees must take admission at the university as full-time students.
- Must maintain their GPA to at least 4.5, for the students who didn’t meet the standard GPA required by the university will not be able to get the reduction fee awards for the next invoice.
- Scholarship wil not be deferred or won’t be able to transfer to other students.
- The scholarship tuition fee reduction can only be used in Australia.
Please note that there wil be certain conditions that will apply for the scholarship depending on the student’s chosen degree and courses. It is important that the applicants must read the terms and conditions applied to each degree and course to better understand every condition for the scholarship awards.
Scholarship Deadline
For the academic year f 2022-2023, the application will still be open until the chosen degree will start to commence on or before September of 2022. All incomplete documents, admission, and applications will not be reviewed for the reduction scholarship, students must make sure that all material will be completed to be considered.
The University of South Australia will be offering the scholarship for international students annually, and awardees can also maintain their awards if they meet the requirements of the scholarship conditions.
