Yearly, Fordham University offers six financial aid scholarship for the international students who can demonstrate their academic skills and will be commencing their undergraduate degree at Fordham University. What are the types of financial Aid offer by Fordham University?
- The Presidential Scholarship
The Presidential Scholarship is intended for the international students who will be entering the undergraduate degree who are generally in top of their class in secondary school. The financial aid will be awarded to the admitted top 20, and the category will be based on the students academic achievements and performance, test scores and personal references.
Benefits
The deserving students who will be receiving the awards will be receiving a financial aid that will be covering their full tuition fee expenses and the average cost of their accommodation expenses. Scholarships are only matched by half of other external resources or scholarships that are not on any educational cost specific. The other half can be used for additional tuition fees.
- Excellence Scholarship
The scholarship will be awarded to the top two studetns who will be admitted in the theatre program of the university. Awards will be based on the students achievements in their academics in high school, personal characters and test score.
Benefits
The deserving students who will be awarded for the awards will be receiving a full tuition fee coverage and will also be covering the students accommodations if the students prefer to live inside campus.
- Recognition Scholarship Award
Awarded to students with outstanding academic achievement who have also received one of the following degrees: Hispanic National, National Merit Semi-Finalist or National African American Recognition Program who enrolls freshmen and is in the top 3% of the admissions students, such as as the university general acceptance test process.

This scholarship increases grants from all sources to cover full tuition fees (costs not included) each year for courses taken as a traditional student at Fordham
- Dean’s Scholarship
Awarded for admission in the traditional early years based on the achievement of solid A or A grades, high academic achievement in a competitive curriculum, and over 1490 on a 1600 scale or equivalent in standardized tests (if applied) awarded. (Note: This figure represents the minimum number of points on the new converted SAT scale.)
Scholarship holders should be in the top 10 of the admitted students
Benefits
The scholarship awards will be amounting to $15,000 annually given for the courses that will be taken as a traditional students at the university.
- Theatre Scholarship
Awarded to the students based on thtier financial need and talents, all students for the first year of admission specializing in theater are considered to the scholarships.
Benefits
If the student meets the talent and academic criteria, the award can range from $7,000 to full tuition minus any other tuition-specific aid for courses taken as a traditional undergraduate student at the university.
- Loyola Scholarships
awarded to traditional freshmen and transfer students who demonstrate high academic performance and leadership skills and who have not been offered any of the financial aid scholarship as an international students described above.
Benefits
The benefits of the program will be amounting to $1,000 to up to $12,500 that will be applied to the deserving students tuition fee cost.
Application Process
To be considered, the students must be able to take the admission at the Fordham University, after being admitted students will be eligible to start their application process to any of the financial aid offered by the university. The students must submit the following documents along with their application:
- High School Transcript of Records
- High School Diploma
- Essay
- Letter of recommendations
Students must be able to have an excellent remarks on high school to be able to be consider.
Language Requirements
The university will be requiring all the international students to submit any of the following test scores:
- IELTS -7.0
- TOEFL iBT- 90
- DUOLINGO English -120
International students who fail to submit the required TOEFL or IELTS scores must complete the English test application form linked to the online application portal once the application is officially submitted.
Renewal of Scholarship Aid
Current and ongoing students should check their scholarship portal to ensure they meet all eligibility requirements for scholarship renewal. All students must achieve satisfactory academic progress, a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 GPA.
Scholarship Deadline
The deadline for the academic year of 2022-2023 will be until the last week of January and will be depending on the university. Students are advised to start their application early to be able to receive an early decision of the university regular response date.
The incoming international freshmen students must be able to submit their CSS profile so your profile will be converted to the US currency if necessary. The scholarship will be offered annually for all international students seeking for financial aid to further thier education in the USA.
