The Mexican Government Scholarship for International Students 2023
The Call is open to 180+ countries through bilateral, multilateral, and special agreements. 80+ Mexican Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) participate, with registered academic programs in the National Postgraduate System of the National Council of Science and Technology, showcasing the country’s progress in science and humanities.

Scholarship Eligibility
To apply for this scholarship online, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

- Degree Pursuit: The scholarship is open to students pursuing undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), or doctoral (PhD) degrees. Applicants should be actively enrolled in a recognized academic program.
- The student must be pursuing studies or a degree from a Mexican university or educational institution. This requirement ensures that the scholarship supports individuals contributing to the academic and research community within Mexico.
- A strong academic performance is typically expected. It may include maintaining a certain GPA or meeting specific academic requirements set by the scholarship program or the participating universities.
- Proficiency in Spanish or another specified language may be required, depending on the program and the language of instruction. This prerequisite ensures that students can actively participate in their academic endeavors and effectively communicate within the educational setting.

Scholarship Benefits
Master’s Scholarships:
- The monthly stipend is equivalent to 4 times the monthly value of the Federal Economic Measurement Unit (UMA), currently $12,614.80 MXN per month.
- Stipend is paid in the following month.
Doctoral Scholarships and Research Stays at Doctoral and Postdoctoral Levels:
- The monthly stipend is equivalent to 5 times the monthly value of the UMA, currently $15,768.50 MXN per month.
- Stipend is paid in the following month.
Enrollment and tuition fees, as per the program regulations of the Mexican Educational Institution. Subject to the final decision of each institution conveyed through the acceptance letter.
