The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is offering up to four Johnson & Johnson Global Mental Health Scholarships to students accepted into the 2022 Global Mental Health MSc.
Johnson & Johnson Global Mental Health Scholarships offers a course that is a joint program provided by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
Also, the institute of psychiatry, psychology, and neuroscience, King’s College London (KCL).

Host Nationality
The Johnson & Johnson Global Mental Health Scholarship is located in London, UK.
Eligible Nationality
For Johnson & Johnson, Global Mental Health Scholarships are exclusively for applicants who are nationals of and ordinarily resident in one of the following countries: Africa: Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, and South Africa. Southeast Asia: Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and South America: Nicaragua, Peru.
Scholarship Value
In an attempt to have the best skills and exceptional knowledge to initiate, develop, and monitor mental health programs and/or policies in low-resource settings, as well as to conduct and critically evaluate global mental health research.
Johnson & Johnson (J&J) scholarships cover:
- Full tuition fees at the KCL overseas fee rate.
- A stipend (living allowance) of GBP 17,400.00
- In addition, an allowance of 500.00 GBP for expenses of master’s projects.
How to Apply for the Johnson Global Mental Health Scholarship
To apply for this scholarship, applicants must complete the two steps outlined below within the indicated deadlines.
Step 1:
You must submit an application for study for the Master’s program in Global Mental Health, with all required documents, through the King’s College London online application portal by 23:59 (GMT) on 14 February 2023.
Step 2:
submit an online scholarship application by selecting this scholarship option from the dropdown menu by 23:59 (GMT) on March 21, 2023.
However, the scholarship application must include the following documents uploaded

- Proof of submission of your application for the MSc in Global Mental Health for 2022 (can be a PDF document or a screenshot of your submission confirmation email dated on or before February 14, 2023); either
- KCL offer letter, for the 2023 MSc Global Mental Health program.
Also, English proficiency score results if you already have them. (If you do not yet have adequate English proficiency results, you must obtain and submit them by 23:59 BST on 26 May 2023 (see details below).
Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered for any of the steps.
Fund selection process
Shortlisted candidates for scholarship funding will be invited for interviews, which may be conducted in person or by phone, or via Skype/Zoom. You can visit the website for more information.

Notification of the results of the pre-selection stage and invitations for an interview will be made no later than the week beginning Monday, April 26.

The interviews will take place in the first fortnight of May.
