Scholarship details
In 2015, to celebrate Lord Weidenfeld’s 95th birthday, the Oxford-Weidenfeld and Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme was founded with funding from a number of outstanding contributors. The Trust’s Oxford-Weidenfeld and Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme will double in size thanks to an additional donation of £9 million from Chairman André Hoffmann in June 2017, which will be matched by £6 million from Oxford University.
This award is part of the Oxford Graduate Scholarships program, which was made possible by a novel matched financing initiative and is given to the world’s most promising graduate students. These scholarships are made possible by a combination of a 40% contribution from the University and a 60% contribution from the generous donors who support the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust, which includes the Fondation Hoffmann. The Swiss organization Fondation Hoffmann awards grants to help launch and grow initiatives that provide real-world solutions to pressing societal issues. To learn more about the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust and the Leadership Programme, which is offered in conjunction with these scholarships, visit their website. Both tuition and a stipend (of at least £17,668) will be paid for by the scholarship. Grants cover the total time period for which you are responsible for paying the agreed upon tuition.
