The University of Colorado, is located in the city of Boulder, Colrado. This a public college is best known by it’s abbreviated name CU. Back in the 1870s, this college was one of thr founding and only public research institutes right before the state of Colorado, actually became known as a state. Each state in the United States has a connected university system where all the schools are collaborative making CU a flagship college.

The University of Colorado is also known as a member of the Association of American Universities. Which is a collaboartive yet selective group where consisten research universities located only in the United States has the general classification among Doctoral Universities. Like Harvard, Princeton, Brown, and other well known ivy league institutions. According to reports in 2020-2021 well over $600 million was spent on updating research foundations and scholarships that cater to the university.

The massively built campus is composed of 9 colleges and centers with nearly 200 programs available for students to choose their major. Normally around 40,000 students end up recieing word that they are enrolled in the new year.

Alumni from Colorado University is quite impressice, with 5 Nobel Prize winners, 10 Pulitzer Prize winners, 11 MacArthur recipients, one Turing Award, and 20 astronauts have all made the list and graduated from this honored institution.

Late last year, the university actually recived well over $600 million to solwly upgrade their Space Physics and Labortory for Atompshere programs. Because of this substancial and endowned fundings that tend to be recieved by Colorado University. The college is considered an open pubic ivy leagure status symbol.

The University of Colorado Boulder is divided into several colleges and schools. The total list of centeres that are part of the University of Colorado are staggering, especially since it’s all on one campus:

  • College of Engineering and Applied Sciences
  • Program in Environmental Design
  • Education
  • Music
  • Law
  • Leeds School of Business
  • College of Media, Communication, and Information

Currently around 4,000 programs exist for students to take part in. As of recently the Colelge of Media, Communication, and Information was just added and initially had a waiting list of potential peers awaiting to take the program.

Funny enough, the architecture program is part of the University of Colorado’s smallest law firm known in the United States.

The functoining business school which is called Leeds School of Business has around a 4,000 peer capcity limit. Although every year, students fill the building, these students are undergraduates, master’s candidates, and Ph.D. individuals. As a matter of fact, the business program is ranked among as one of the top fifty best programs to take if anyone is interested in owning a business, real estate, or opening a law firm.

The University is working with the Architectural Education Foundation in giving the $2,000 USD to the right student who is on the path to finishing their Environmental Design program and degree.

 

Eligibility

  • Students must be in their junior or senior year of college.
  • Must be students that have been accepted by the University of Colorado.
  • Both male and female students may apply.
  • A transfer student who has been previously in Environmental Design, can apply as long as they have completed at least 2 prior years of this program.
  • Students cannot have a prior criminal offense when applying for this scholarship.
  • Domestic and International students (as long as they are there with a student visa) can apply.
  • The student must show their prior work or involvement with any design projects (like court rooms, court houses, local real estate homes, town homes, etc)

 

Requirements

Applicants have to apply by either being previously enrolled in an Enviromental Design class (Architecture program) or be enrolled at the University of Colorado and taking their Enviromental Design program. A student should have no less than 2 years of credits by taking this program and must be shown through transcripts.

If the student is a transfer or internationsl student they must be able to show that they have at least 2 years of Enivorimental Design on their transcripts. Along with that, the student will need to provide all of the projects they have worked on and the outcome grade that they received.

Organization is part of this scholarship application as well, students will need to identify and organize all the projects they have worked on from the first to the most recent.

 

How to Apply

All applicants must provide their transcript information and a letter of recommendation from the professor of the program.

Applicants should have the required 2-year credits already from this program which will be looked at before they can officially apply for this scholarship.

 

Reward – Extra Benefits

The total amount to be awarded to a recipent is $2,000 USD. This is intended to go towards tuition, tuition fees, equipment fees, or textbook fees. Anything education related is the only way this funding can be used. Students cannot use the amount to spend on anything outside of education based necessities.

If a student has already paid in full all of their fees and tuition, a refund may be possible but the student would need to talk to admissions and the foundations president to see if that would be probable.

 

Deadline

The deadline is fast approaching which is on February 15, 2022.

Students should refer back to the university website to frequently check to see if the deadline date has been changed, delayed, or pushed back to a different day and time.

Students should note that nearly all deadline dates end at midnight eastern standard time of the day mentioned.

 

Open Window Submission Time Frame

Applicants are offered a general open window of 4 months when applying for this scholarship.

There is only one official deadling mentioned for this scholarship so students will need to understand that if they do not have one of the requirements listed above, they more than likely will not be fit to recieve this award.

 

Annual

This is an annual scholarship that does not renew and can only be used for one year as it is awarded to a recipent.

All applicants must continue to do there own research and see what else may be needed of them when applying for this scholarship, such as official documents or even resumes/CVs that may be needed.
