Founded in 1844, the YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) is one of the oldest and largest youth-focused movements in the world, operating in 120 countries and serving 58 million people.
YMCA associations are deeply rooted in their communities and provide various programs and services based on local contexts and youth-related issues.
There are both local and federal scholarship opportunities available through the YMCA, with the amount varying depending on the availability of grants. If you are a member of the YMCA, you should check with your local association to see if they offer any scholarships. However, the YMCA’s national scholarships are limited to current employees of the organization.
