Scholarship details
The University of Leeds at the School of Physics and Astronomy now accepts applications for the International Masters Excellence Scholarships for the academic year of 2022-2023. The scholarship aims to encourage outstanding international students who can demonstrate their academic excellence and who wish to undertake their master’s degree in Physics in the United Kingdom. The scholarship will be based on the academic excellence and achievements of the candidates.
Course Overview
The University of Leeds Physics MSc is flexible, giving you the ability to tailor your study to your own work ethic. You will have the opportunity to broaden and understand your experience by studying various courses taught by scientists active in their field, supported by world research in physics.
A wide choice of design options means you can focus on your favorite areas. Instead, the university offers five guides that focus on the individual specialism:

The students will also carry out advanced research work in one of the School of Physics and Astronomy’s accredited research teams. This will equip the highest level of technology for planning, researching, directing, and publishing, allowing you to publish your work in newsletters around the world. This will help prepare you for a Ph.D. or a career in industry or other business areas related to Physics.
Content of the Course
A total of 180 points must be completed, including 105 points for the compulsory class and 75 points for the elective course.
Most courses are optional and the wide range of physics professionals available in Leeds means you can take a variety of courses. A total of 180 scores were to be completed with 75 scores in the modules the remaining 105 scores were taken from independent research projects and current research topics in physics.
The students will be in the best position to select specific issues to explore using the insights gained in the key models. This project contributes 50% of your degree score and will help you choose a topic in your area of interest and support. This project gives you the independent research experience you need to support your project.

Eligibility
Before proceeding with the application, the interested students must meet the entry requirements of the university.
- Must be an international student, classified as an international paying fee student.
- Must be holding a 2.1 bachelor’s degree in Physics or any other related courses.
- Must have good communication skills in oral and written English.
- Can demonstrate their academic excellence.
Language Requirements
- Must be able to submit an English Language Proficiency score of 6.5 overall in IELTS or no less than 6.0.
- International students who do not meet the English language requirements for this program can take pre-sessional English courses to help them improve their English.
Application Process and Deadline
The applicants must be able to complete and submit their applications before the deadline for the scholarship. The application can be done in an online portal application provided by the university.

Scholarship Awards
The University of Leeds will award the successful students with a £2,500 amount that can be used towards their educational expenses for 12 months duration.
Successful students are required to read and agreed to the terms and conditions applied to the scholarship awards. The scholarship is non-transferrable, all applications will be evaluated thoroughly and the scholarship committee’s decision will be final.
