The 30% Final Year Undergraduate Continuation Scholarship is a scholarship that UEA offers every year to students who have graduated from UEA with a first class or starred first class degree and who are progressing to a postgraduate course at UEA within six months of graduating. The scholarship is for students who are enrolled in any of the postgraduate taught or postgraduate research courses offered by UEA, covering subjects such as law, computing sciences, psychology, economics, business, media, human rights, international development, and many more.
The scholarship is worth 30% of the tuition fees for the postgraduate course. The scholarship will be awarded for each continuous year of study at UEA, up to a maximum of three years for postgraduate taught courses and four years for postgraduate research courses. The scholarship will be issued as a tuition fee discount and will be reflected on the invoice.
The scholarship is intended to encourage and reward students who have demonstrated exceptional academic potential and commitment in their undergraduate studies at UEA, as well as to support them in their postgraduate studies and living expenses in the UK. The scholarship also aims to foster goodwill and understanding between UEA and its alumni, as well as to enhance the reputation and influence of UEA as a leading university in education and research.
The scholarship is open to applicants who meet the following criteria:
• They have a confirmed place to study at UEA in one of the eligible postgraduate courses.
• They have graduated from UEA with a first class or starred first class undergraduate degree.
• They are self-funded students paying overseas fees.
• They are not receiving any other bursary or scholarship from UEA or another organisation.
To apply for the scholarship, applicants do not need to submit a separate application form. They will be automatically considered for the scholarship once they have received their results from UEA and have confirmed their place at UEA. The applications will be assessed by an independent panel of experts from the relevant subject area, who will select the most deserving and motivated candidates. The successful applicants will be notified by email by 31 August 2024.
The 30% Final Year Undergraduate Continuation Scholarship is a valuable opportunity for UEA graduates who want to pursue a postgraduate degree at UEA and benefit from its excellent teaching and research. The scholarship not only covers part of the tuition fees, but also provides access to the facilities and resources of UEA, as well as opportunities to network and participate in events and activities.
