Scholarship details
There is a call for interested applicants for Mathcounts Scholarship in the United States of America coming the academic year 2018- 2019. This scholarship grant of $3,000 is offered to Mathcounts alumni who are in their senior high school or for those are seeking for a two-year or four-year degree at officially recognized universities or colleges. Interested senior high school applicants must be currently enrolled in school and will be graduating in the spring/ summer of 2018. Likewise, interested students who are presently enrolled in a two-year or four-year degree at any accredited schools or universities are also eligible to apply. For qualified students who are presently pursuing their associate or bachelor degree and are graduating in 2018 will have an option of using the scholarship in taking another career opportunity in graduate school or can be put in standing tuition fees.
Mathcounts Foundation which is the giver of Mathcounts Scholarship was established to pursue a common good and not-for-profit goal. This organization provides interesting Math program in the USA middle school students. The organization aims to build the love in Mathematics, confidence and engage students to enjoy and develop good attitudes towards Math and problem solving. This is an award for alumnus who excellently experienced Mathcounts in Senior high school. This will open great opportunity to pursuit professional career.
The scholarship award will be taken in the USA and will be awarded to those pursuing a career in field of science, engineering, technology or mathematics. The interested applicants must first complete the 2018 Application Form. Applicant’s full name must be typed or neatly written in the top right corner of each page of the application form. Responses to sections 3 and 4 of the 2018 Application Form can be typed out but word count requirement must still be observed. Responses to questions that require long answers must be type written still observing the word-count specified in the 2018 Application Form. The questions must be written at the top of the page and the total word-count at the bottom of the last page.
Only scholarship finalist will be required to send an official transcript. A copy of 2018 Application Form, responses to long answer questions and Authorization/ Agreement of Terms Form for your records must be kept by the applicant. Original papers must be submitted to Mathcount and will not be returned. All application requirements must be sent in one package or email. Keep a copy of your completed 2018 Application Form, long-answer response and Authorization/ Agreement of Terms Form for your records. Submit the originals to MATHCOUNTS; originals will not be returned. After the review of the papers, the Mathcount will notify the applicants of the next steps.
