The mining sector is funding this scholarship in partnership with Curtin University’s Geotechnical Engineering Group, which is led by Professor Mohamed Shahin. The fund’s goal is to develop environmentally friendly, long-lasting, and innovative cementation treatment technologies, such as bio-cementation and geopolymerization, to improve the performance of mining by-product materials used in mining infrastructure applications.
