Scholarship details
The University of Texas at Austin Offers the Jerry D. Wilcox Undergraduate Community Engagement Scholarships in Various Areas; for successful international students. The academic year 2022-2023.
The scholarship will be awarded based on academic performance and participation in campus and community organizations, mostly leaning towards leadership roles.
Students must demonstrate leadership in their undergraduate program through academic achievement and other activities.
To apply, students can do so through the university portal or through the Coalition Application. Applicants must submit an essay of participation along with their application for admission to be considered for the scholarship.
Students are required to submit the following documents: Participation Essay: What is your definition of promoting peace in Asia? Give examples.
A minimum 3.0 GPA and GRE or GMAT scores are required for admission.
In which organization/projects have you participated that promoted peace? How do you plan to promote peace in your community based on your experience here in the US? High school transcripts; Recommendation letters; Service project that promotes peace in the community, either here in Austin or in the applicants’ home country.

Package Offered:
- The scholarship offers $3,500 for fall tuition.
- The scholarship does not cover travel expenses, living expenses, medical insurance, or study materials.
