Are you a creative writer? Do you like the act of writing? If yes, The Disney | ABC Television Group (DATG), Creative Talent Development & Inclusion (CTDI) is pleased to announce the Disney│ABC Writing Program.

To be eligible, applicants must have the ability to legally work in the U.S. Walt Disney’s television writing show is based in Los Angeles and is widely recognized as one of the most coveted writing shows in the industry. of entertainment.

ABC Disney Writing Program

The one-year program begins in February and ends in January of the following year. Please note that deadlines are subject to change. The main objective of the Program is to staff the Program Writers in the Disney Group ABC Television Group (DATG) series as staff writers. However, the staff is not guaranteed.

The ABC Disney Writing Program system provides access to executives, producers, and literary representatives through various meetings and events designed to facilitate relationships that can be invaluable in developing a television writing career.

For at least the first month of the ABC Disney Writers Program, writers participate in a curriculum designed to better prepare them for staff consideration. Past activities have included workshops led by veteran television writers, producers, and DATG Writing Program alumni; improvisation workshops; and network mixers with (DATG) current programming and development executives.

Disney ABC Writing Program tries to entertain and inform audiences in a way that reflects the great diversity of its society. Created in 1990 in association with an entire WGAW, the Disney | ABC Writing Program is located in Los Angeles and has been widely known among the most enviable writing programs in the entertainment industry.

The Disney ABC Writing Program helps talented writers get their foot in a door, helps further the vital mission of the Creative Talent Development and Inclusion Team, and makes them a better show for us.

For over 30 years, the Disney General Entertainment Content (DGE) Writing Program has been lauded as one of the most successful writing programs in the entertainment industry. The program has launched the careers of many writers, including Peter Saji (Mixed-ish); Zahir McGhee (Queens); Raamla Mohammed (Little Fires Everywhere); Jane Espenson (Once Upon a Time); Saladin K. Patterson (The Wonder Years, Dave); Bryan Oh (Chicago Fire); George Mastras (Breaking Bad) and Veena Sud (The Killing).

The DGE Writing Program is a highly selective, annual TV staffing program. The goal is to staff emerging and diverse television writers on DGE scripted series. Program Writers are contract employees of Disney for one year, or until the staff on a show, and receive mentorship, professional development, and unprecedented access to the company and its creative executives, producers, showrunners, and program alumni. One writer will receive the Eunetta T. Boone Comedy Writers Scholarship and special staffing consideration on a Disney Branded Television series.

The  Disney Writing Program system is open to employees of The Walt Disney Company and its subsidiaries who are US citizens. 

Disney ABC Worth Writing Program

  • The writer’s source workers from Disney│ABC Television Group (DATG) and are likely to be paid a weekly salary of $961.54 ($50,000 annualized) and any related benefits they qualify for based on all current Company earnings.
  • The annual program begins in February and ends in February of the next calendar year.

Disney ABC Writing Program Eligibility

  • In order to qualify for the Disney ABC Writing Program, the applicant must possess and demonstrate proof of identity and eligibility for employment in the US (lawful throughout the application period) as required by the United States Control and Reform Act. Immigration Act of 1986, and its amendments.
  • You must be at least twenty-one (21) years old by December 1, 2022, to apply to the Program.

Submit a complete application package, which includes these things:

  • Initial pilot script
  • Spec Script
  • release form that includes an attached exhibit
  • A within the pilot script and also exhibit.
  • B mask the spec script along with each area completed
    Recruitment
  • Essay (maximum 750 words): Tell a story in life experience that communicates your distinctive perspective and/or multicultural sensibilities.
  • Letters of recommendation (optional) can be directed to “Disney ABC Songwriting Program.”

Application Deadline for the ABC Disney Writers Program

Applications will not be accepted prior to the opening date of the submission period and submissions MUST be received no later than 11:59 pm PST on the designated deadline date. Due to the large volume of submissions received, the application deadline has not expired.
