The International Country Award: A Scholarship for Students from Selected Countries to Study at UEA
Are you a student from one of the selected countries who wants to study at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in the UK? The scholarship is worth £4,000 off the first year tuition fees for all eligible students. In addition to this, eligible students are encouraged to apply for the Undergraduate International Excellence Scholarship, which can offer up to £10,000 per year for three years of full-time study. The scholarship is awarded on a rolling basis until the fund is exhausted. As funds are limited, applicants are strongly advised to apply early.
The scholarship is intended to encourage and reward students who have demonstrated exceptional academic potential and commitment in their previous studies, as well as to support them in their studies and living expenses in the UK. The scholarship also aims to foster goodwill and understanding between UEA and the selected countries, as well as to enhance the reputation and influence of UEA as a leading university in education and research.
The scholarship is open to applicants who meet the following criteria:
• They have a confirmed place to study at UEA in one of the eligible courses.
• They have an average of 55% or above in their previous studies or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
• They are international students paying overseas fees.
• They are not receiving any other bursary or scholarship from UEA or another organisation.
To apply for the scholarship, applicants do not need to submit a separate application form. They will be automatically considered for the scholarship once they have confirmed their place at UEA. The applications will be assessed by an independent panel of experts from the education sector, who will select the most deserving and motivated candidates. The successful applicants will be notified by email by 31 August 2024.
