About the Scholarship:

Over 120 different nations are represented among the 14,000 students at the conveniently located University of Stirling. The University of Stirling’s campus sits on the shores of a lake and was created in an 18th century castle estate that was opened to the public in 1967. In addition to its location, the University of Stirling boasts a few special traits. Due to the modular degree structure, students can begin and end their studies at any point during the two semesters. Students can readily change their majors if their interests change because degrees are made up of modules. Stirling University’s Graduate Outcomes Survey 2020 found that 95% of its graduates were either employed or engaged in post-secondary study within 15 months of graduation (International Student Barometer 2016).

Work-study programs and internships are also promoted for students. Programs such as Mastering Your Masters and an endeavor to connect institutions and businesses are only two of the initiatives. Student Money Advisers are available to assist students with budgeting and submitting financial aid applications, as well as providing information on scholarships available to international and EU students. The University of Stirling International Study Centre also provides pre-masters courses and an undergraduate certificate, which can be used to replace the first year of a four-year honors degree. The International Study Center guarantees that students will receive a conditional offer of a degree place at the University. To help overseas students with their English language skills, the University of Stirling’s Student Union has established an International Society, which offers 12-week English language courses to newcomers before to and during the start of each semester. Sports facilities are ranked first in Scotland and fourth in the United Kingdom.

Good extracurricular activities/societies are ranked second in Scotland and in the top 25 in the United Kingdom, Stirling University was ranked 6th in Scotland and 45th in the United Kingdom in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework for academic research quality.. All research efforts were rated either world-leading or internationally exceptional. All international students will be housed on campus, and the bulk of their rooms will have views of the loch from their windows… All of the university’s educational resources, including its libraries, bookstores, theaters, and cinemas, are located within a few short blocks of the student residences. The Residential Services Office can assist students who prefer to reside in privately rented accommodation. Stirling University is located on the shores of a lake near to an 18th-century castle that was built in the 16th century. Stirling has a thriving commercial center and sports village just a short bus ride from the university. Stirling, which has long been renowned as the “Gateway to the Highlands,” is only a short drive from both Glasgow International Airport and Edinburgh International Airport.

One of the top sporting facilities in the country is located on campus, including the National Swimming Academy and the Gannochy National Tennis Centre. The site is also home to the three Commonwealth Games Councils for Scotland and Scottish Swimming. Additionally, the International Student Barometer of 2016 recognized the university’s campus as the best in the United Kingdom. In addition to being built on the historic Airthrey Estate location, the new campus will have state-of-the-art technology. Students can take advantage of a wide range of services and facilities. These include a movie theater, a bank, a pharmacy, a supermarket, and a public library (which contains more than 550,000 volumes and 9,000 periodicals).
