Scholarship details
The Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) is open to women and men from developing countries with relevant professional experience and a history of supporting their countries’ development efforts who are applying to a master’s degree program in a development-related topic.
The Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program offers 48 programs and applicants have to be involved or admitted to one of those 48 programs to qualify for this application.
Eligbility & Requirements
- Applicants cannot hold dual citizenship from any other developing country.
- Applicant must present good health.
- Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree earned at least 3 years prior to the application deadline date.
- Applicants must be employed in development-related work in a paid full-time position at the time of submitting the scholarship application.
- Applicants must be a national of a World Bank member developing country such as:

How to Apply
This scholarship will grade applications on a 1 – 10 scale.
They will check on quality recommendations, quality professional experience, quality commitment to the country you come from, and the applicant’s background education.
Final round applicants will face a different set of acquired requirements that those applications will be graded on.
Hardships including financial are the most considered when the applicant is chosen to be awarded this particular scholarship.

Reward
This scholarship provides tuition, as well as, a monthly living stipend, round-trip airfare, health insurance, and travel allowance. This is considered a full tuition plus boarding scholarship.
