Eligibility
- This scholarship is only available to newly enrolled students in their freshman year. This is not available to transfer students that end up transferring into their 2nd or 3rd year of college.
- To be considered for this scholarship, students do have to enroll in the MERP Student Choice Pathway to Success program.
- This scholarship is meant to be used in person by attending the campus and programs that the student has signed up for, this does not include long distance learning.
- The student must have an interest in Medicine.
- International students are welcome to apply.
Requirements
The first requirement is that students should go ahead and apply to be in the program mentioned in the eligibility section. From there students will need to fill out the Approved MERP Student Choice Pathway to Success opt-in form to be considered for this scholarship option.
How to Apply
The way to apply is if a new freshmen student that is starting their first year at Ross University decides to enroll in the MERP Student Choice Pathway to Success program. From there the student will be instructed to apply with the MERP Student Choice Pathway to Success form. Afterwards, the student’s form will go under review to see if they are a correct fit for this scholarship.
Students will be notified through their email address, so students should have an up-to-date email address otherwise the student should provide their updated account to the admissions office.
Student Visa
International students are welcome to apply and must obtain a student visa before arriving. A student visa can be obtained from the current student’s country location through an Embassy of Dominica.
Reward – Extra Benefits
There is a equal benefit of this reward, where students can receive up to $40,000 if that is what the full tuition for the student’s first year comes out to. Officially the reward will cover the totally tuition cost the student may face.
This reward will go into affect within the second semester. This is to see how well the student does academically.
Deadline Time Line
The deadline date follows the university’s official date of when all acceptable admissions applications are due. This day is July 15, 2023. This is the only date where all applications will be required to be summitted, there is no information on extending application admission dates.
Open Submission Window Time Frame
The open submission window date begins in May 2023. From there students will have until July 15, 2023 to submit their application if they wish to become a student at Ross University. The reason the deadline date is the official date to go by is because the first year new students are chosen for this specific scholarship award.
Essentially the scholarship committee will choose students that are deemed the correct fit from their transcripts and admission application. From there the other eligible factors for this scholarship such as citizenship will come into play. Afterwards, a final round of interviews may be given to the remaining potential candidates.
Annual or Renewable Scholarship Options
This is an annual scholarship that lasts for the given time frame. This is not a renewable scholarship option.
