Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
- Open to students from all countries.
- Must have received an offer for an undergraduate or postgraduate course at The University of Western Australia.
- For undergraduate applicants:
- Minimum ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) of 85.00 or equivalent.
- Alternatively, a minimum WAM (Weighted Average Mark) of 65.00 or equivalent.
- For postgraduate applicants:
- Must meet the entry requirements for the chosen postgraduate course at UWA.
- No specific ATAR requirement.
- Minimum WAM of 65.00 or equivalent.
- If applying through an approved International Academic Pathway (Articulation Program):
- Must have achieved a WAM equivalent of more than 75.00.
- Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee the scholarship, as the selection process is competitive.

Keep in mind that it is important that the applicants have good communication skills in oral and written English. All courses wil be thought in the English Language.
Application Process
The application for the scholarship awards is a straightforward process. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to apply:
- The applicants must meet the eligibility requirements, Ensuring that they meet the minimum ATAR/WAM requirements as specified by the scholarship program. For undergraduate applicants, the minimum ATAR is 85.00 or a minimum WAM of 65.00. Postgraduate applicants must meet the minimum WAM requirement of 65.00 or equivalent. If you are applying through an approved International Academic Pathway, a WAM equivalent of more than 75.00 is necessary.
- Apply for an undergraduate or postgraduate course at the University of Western Australia through the designated application process. Ensure that you provide all the required documentation and meet the admission criteria for your chosen program.
- Once you have submitted your course application, it will be assessed for eligibility and suitability. The scholarship committee at the university will evaluate your academic achievements and qualifications.
Important Note
Once you have met the ATAR/WAM requirements and have been accepted into your chosen course, the Global Excellence Scholarship will be automatically awarded to you. There is no separate application process for the scholarship.
It is important to read the terms and conditions attached to the scholarship offered by the university. The scholarship value will be based on the student’s ATAR Score.
