Scholarship details
Students will have a choice depending on the subject they intend to study, where some are available to study in Beirut or Byblos.
The Lebanese American University is located in New York City, in the United States. The location is based on where the Department of Education is in New York. Incredibly enough the Lebanese American University was established in the year 1924 the higher education institution had originally begun as a women’s only college. But the university can be eventually traced back as early as the 1830s.
However, this scholarship is for students who wish to study in Lebanon at the sister Lebanese National American University. Students can apply to either the United States college or the Lebanon colleges to be transferred to other educational institutions that are located in several different countries.
Now the North American location is connected to the department or university in Lebanon. So students can transfer if they wish to either place, along with the several other universities situated around the world.
In total there are 18 centers and educational institutions that are within and part of the Lebanese American Universities.

This is not a complete list of all of the available studies. There are subjects available under postdoctorate and master’s degrees as well.
Eligibility
- Both men and women can apply.
- Only new freshmen college students will be considered for this scholarship.
- The student must be attending the Lebanese American University to study for a Bachelor’s degree or the correct term used throughout this article is Baccalaureate.
- All students will be chosen by the university staff, so the student will not need to send in a separate application form. The university decides which students will receive this generous 50% off of tuition scholarship award.
- There is no subject that receives first priority, so the student can be studying any bachelor’s program subject.
- International students are welcome to apply but they must have their student visa beforehand.
Requirements
The biggest requirement is to first, be a newly enrolled student of the Lebanese American University. And secondly, have excellent academic scores (typically having a 4.0 as a grade point average is exactly what a university looks for academically) and that must be as an official Baccalaureate.
How to Apply
This is a scholarship that does not need to be applied for separately. There is no extra application form to fill out and submit to the admissions office. Instead, this is a scholarship that is awarded to certain students, that fit all of the qualifications and requirements, which the university acknowledges when it comes to certain new students that either enroll or are invited to apply for admission.
Reward – Extra Benefits
The student who are chosen and up to 30 students can be chosen for this award. All will receive 50% off of their tuition costs for the 4-years leading up to their bachelor’s degree. This is excellent since the traditionally tuition cost of the Lebanese American University averages out to just under $10,000 per year. That means students on average who do not have any discounts or scholarships covering a portion of their tuition will end up spending $40,000 to total out a 4-year college career.
The Lebanon university’s tuition is around $7,500 per academic year.
Deadline Time Line
The deadline time line follows the exact deadlines for undergraduates that are new students. First, students will have to read through the requirements and guidelines that all new students need to follow when applying for admissions.
The Fall admissions date is August 5, 2023.
Open Submission Window Time Frame
There are 4 deadline dates in total however, students will need to decide which date works best for them as far as necessary requirements go. Students that wish to apply in the Fall for the August 5, 2023 date, the open submission window time frame begins in March 2023.
Annual or Renewable Scholarship Option
This is an available annual scholarship option and this scholarship does present the unique opportunity of being carried over for a complete 4 years. However, the rules state the student must maintain their excellent academic career and successfully graduate with their bachelor’s degree.
