This scholarship was established by UTS to support the UTS College Pathway Program and to assist international students in achieving success as they transition from the UTS College Pathway Program to their undergraduate degrees at UTS. International students who exemplify the University’s core values and who demonstrate a dedication to quality, creativity, entrepreneurship, and social justice will be eligible for the award.

 

About the Scholarship Provider:

The New South Wales Institute of Technology was the institution that came before the University of Technology in Sydney, which is now known as the University of Technology in Sydney. It was established in 1964 and served as a precursor to the university that would later become UTS. On January 25, 1988, the transaction that saw the corporation acquire the School of Design at Sydney College of the Arts was successfully brought to a close. Before the University of Technology, Sydney Act was passed on January 26, 1988, the institution that is currently known as UTS was once known as the University of Technology, Sydney. The Kuring-Gai College of Advanced Education and the Institute of Technical and Adult Teacher Education merged with UTS on January 1, 1990, resulting in the formation of the University of Technology and Sydney (UTS).

The following locations are included on the list: Teaching is available in a wide variety of fields in the schools located in and around the Broadway neighborhood. Some of these fields include built environments, humanities and arts, medical and research (including engineering and information technology), and more. The Faculty of Law and Library of the University of Technology, Sydney are both located in the Haymarket neighborhood of the Old Market district in Sydney. The Haymarket neighborhood is part of the Old Market district. UTS Startups and the UTS Animal Logic Academy are both located in the Dr. Chau Chak Wing Building on the campus of the University of Technology in Sydney (UTS). The Blackfriars complex is home to a great number of administrative buildings, including one called the Blackfriars Children’s Centre.

 

The University of Technology and Sydney (UTS) is the predecessor to the institution that is today known as the University of Technology and Sydney. The publicly financed research university has recently established connections with three different international organizations. These organizations are the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL), and the Australian Technology Network (ATN) (ATN). Within walking distance of Sydney’s Central Business District can be found a campus of the University of Technology Sydney. This campus can be found immediately to the south of the CBD. On the grounds of the university, the primary administrative and academic buildings can be found in one of three locations.

UTS offers students the opportunity to enroll in more than 210 master’s degree programs and more than 130 bachelor’s degree programs. This overarching field of study encompasses a wide variety of subfields, the most notable of which include the following: architecture, business, the built environment, communication, education, design, engineering, international studies, information technology, law, nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, and science. These are only some of the numerous fields of study that are included. This college now has an enrollment total of 46,190 students, with over 13,000 of those students coming from outside the United States. There are 4,714 people working for the university, which contributes to the impressively huge staff that the institution maintains. It has 256 relationships with exchange partners, which give students access to high-quality educational opportunities at 185 universities in 43 other countries.

 

It is common knowledge that a significant number of exceptionally talented people who earned degrees at the University of Technology in Sydney (UTS) have achieved prominence in a wide range of professions, including engineering, business, architecture, academia, journalism, the arts, and politics, amongst others. Hugh Jackman’s portrayal of Wolverine in the X-Men movie series has earned him a number of accolades, including an Emmy Award, thanks to the success of the franchise. Tanya Plibersek is a well-known politician who once served as Australia’s representative in the federal parliament and who has served in the past as a member of the Green Party in Australia.

During the time that he was in office, Morris Iemma was the 40th premier of the state of New South Wales. Anh Do, who is known for both her acting and her comedy, was born in Australia.   It was his standout performances in the films Thank God You’re Here and Good News Week that catapulted him to the forefront of the acting world. Charlotte Best is a well-known model and actress who first came to public attention for her starring role in the long-running Australian soap opera “Home and Away.” Sonia Kruger, a well-known Australian TV personality, is one of the hosts of “Dancing with the Stars” in Australia. Joel Labi is a seasoned writer who has contributed to publications such as CNN, Reuters, and 2GB, amongst others. Pat Cummins is the one who is currently acting in the role of vice captain for the Australian cricket team.

 

SeNSS is one of only 14 Doctoral Training Partnerships in the United Kingdom that is sponsored by the ESRC, and they will be offering a handful of fully-funded ESRC doctoral studentships beginning in September 2023. The Gustafsson & Skrondal Visiting Scholarship is administered by the University of Oslo’s Centre for Educational Measurement (CEMO). As part of the visiting scholar program, CEMO and the University of Oslo host a number of young researchers from Norway and elsewhere each year.

 

Eligibility for Scholarship.

  • To be considered for the Scholarship, an applicant’s application must demonstrate that they meet each of the following requirements:
  • Must be an international student (not an Australian citizen, a citizen of New Zealand, or a permanent resident of Australia); Must have finished a UTS College Diploma in Sydney, with an overall grade point average of 6.0 or higher in their Diploma; and Must meet all of the following requirements:
  • Must be commencing studies in a UTS undergraduate degree that directly articulates from their UTS College Diploma course, in the next available intake after the candidate has completed their Diploma; and All candidates must apply using the UTS online Scholarships Application form in order to be eligible for the scholarship.
  • The following standards will be used to choose the recipients of the awards:
  • Commitment to utilizing your UTS degree to assist your community, as demonstrated by the Scholarship application; and Motivation to achieve in your selected UTS degree program, as demonstrated by the Scholarship application; and Commitment to utilizing your UTS degree to assist your community.
  • Personal experience and accomplishments, such as but not limited to examples of community service, inventiveness, or entrepreneurial spirit, should be exhibited in the application for the scholarship.
  • Academic merit, as determined by the outcomes of the UTS College Diploma, may also be taken into consideration.

The University of Technology Sydney 2023 Pathways Scholarship for International Undergraduate Students  is open to all International Students

 

If a student enrolls in one of the degree programs offered by SOAS University of London, they may be eligible to receive a fee waiver award in the amount of £5,000. This award is available to students who are interested in receiving a degree from SOAS University of London.
