An candidate with exceptional talent and commitment will be awarded the scholarship, which will pay the tuition expenses for one 30-credit course unit from your academic program, whether you are a full- or part-time student, online or on campus. Our MA program requires 120 credits, while our MFA program requires a whopping 300 credits.

Eligibility for Scholarship.
- Applicants for the Joyce Nield Scholarship must be nationals of a country that is not a member of the United Kingdom Commonwealth.
- A personal statement should be sent with the application, stating why the applicant want to be considered for the scholarship opportunity.
- Candidates for the Joyce Nield Scholarship are also expected to demonstrate their eligibility, excellence, commitment, and potential in addition to their other qualifications.
- The successful applicant will be expected to perform the duties of a “Masters Scholar” while on the program. In order to be considered for admission, he or she should make a modest, but significant, contribution to the learning community of the Manchester Writing School.
- Applicants must submit their application to the MFA or MA in Creative Writing program before the deadlines of August 31, 2022 (for September 2022 entry) and November 30, 2022 (for December 2022 entry), respectively (for January 2023 entry)
- This scholarship is not transferrable under any circumstances.
There are 53 new international student scholarships available at the University of Winnipeg for the first time. This grant is open to first-time international students in any of the University’s divisions, including undergraduate, graduate, collegiate, PACE, and ELP. All international students can apply for the President’s Scholarship for Future World Leaders.
