About the Scholarship:
There are a total of three campuses that make up the University of Gloucestershire, which is a public university that can be found in Gloucestershire. Francis Close Hall, The Park, and Oxstalls are the respective names of the three campuses that make up the university’s presence in Cheltenham and Gloucester, which are the university’s two sites, respectively. Although the university did not receive its official title until the year 2001, its origins can be traced all the way back to the 19th century, when two separate educational establishments in Gloucestershire united to become what is now known as the University of Gloucestershire in the United Kingdom.
School of Art and Design, School of Business and Technology, School of Education, School of Health and Social Care, School of Liberal and Performing Arts, School of Media, School of Natural and Social Sciences, and the School of Sport and Exercise are the eight distinct schools of study that make up the university. These schools are: School of Art and Design, School of Business and Technology, School of Education, School of Health and Social Care, School of Media, School of Natural and Social Sciences, and School of Sport and Exercise. In addition to being responsible for the programs that are taught, the schools are also in charge of guiding the research as well as the commercial activities that are conducted in their particular sectors. Because it provides more than 80 undergraduate courses, 57 post-graduate courses, and Ph.D. degrees, students have a wide variety of options to choose from in terms of disciplines and courses to study. The University is home to 12,000 students and 1,500 members of faculty and staff, making it a dynamic and multiethnic community.
The undergraduate curriculum covers topics such as accounting and law, computing, journalism, business management, fine arts, humanities, geography, biology, social science, education, and sports. The post-graduate curriculum covers topics such as accounting and law, business and management; computing, IT and multimedia; health and social care; education; humanities; leisure; media; art and design; natural and social sciences; and sports and exercise. Undergraduate students have access to a wide variety of financial aid options, including the Care Leavers Scholarship, the Music Scholarship, the Partnership Bursary, the Sports Excellence Funds, the Financial Assistance Fund, as well as Emergency short-term loans and PGCE bursaries. The Rugby Football Union, the Football Association, England Netball, and the English Cricket Board all provide financial assistance to students participating in the university’s specialized athletic programs, which also include scholarship opportunities.
The institution is proud of a program called “Your Future Plan,” which was established specifically for first-year undergraduate students. Through this program, students receive the appropriate support to develop a personal career plan during their first year of study at the university. HelpZones that are devoted to student support have been established on each campus so that students can go there to receive any advise, support, or assistance for any challenges they may be facing. Adam Buxton, Lewis Arnold, and Cornelia Parker, who was nominated for the Turner Prize, are all well-known figures in the entertainment industry and are among the university’s noteworthy alumni.
