The law firm will award one deserving student with a reward of up to $500 to use toward their education on an annual basis.
Eligibility for Scholarship
- This scholarship is available to students who are currently enrolled in graduate or law programs as well as undergraduate students who have expressed an interest in attending law school in the future. It is required that all applicants be currently enrolled in either an undergraduate or graduate-level program in the United States.
- Each submission needs to include the author’s name, current major, and college along with their address, phone number, and mailing address.
- All entries should be forwarded to the Slip and Fall Scholarship Committee at [email protected].
- The pdf file format is required for all submissions.
- By the 31st of December in 2023, we must have received all contributions.
- On January 31, 2024, we will post an announcement on our website revealing who the winner is.

Applicants can be from any country as long as they are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate-level program in the United States (this includes graduate and law students as well as undergraduate students).

The 2023 essay topic is “Should a homeowner/business owner be held liable if someone slips and falls on their property on a snowy day? Why or why not?”
- The essay should not exceed 1,500 words in length.
- Only respond to the question that was given.
- To support the claims you make in your essay, use web sources and relevant case law.
- It is important to utilize correct language, spelling, and citations when writing.
- Plagiarism will be checked on every contribution that is made.
