The Indigenous Research Honours Scholarship was established by the College of Business, Government, and Law in order to advance understanding and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, knowledge, and rights through the conduct of research projects that are related to these topics in order to foster reconciliation. The College of Business, Government, and Law provides financing for the scholarships, and they will be offered for as long as there is sufficient funding in the budget.

Scholarship Offer:
- Each scholarship will be worth $5,000 total, and the award will be disbursed in four equal installments of $2,500 following the census date of each semester. The amount of money that is available will determine how many scholarships can be awarded.
Eligibility for Scholarship
Those interested must fulfill the following requirements:
- be a student or recent graduate of an undergraduate program; and
- be enrolled in the final 36 units of a four-year Honours program at Flinders University’s College of Business, Government, and Law in one of the aforementioned fields for the upcoming academic year; and
- getting started on an Honors thesis in one of the five critical areas highlighted by Reconciliation Australia. Racial harmony, fair treatment, institutional stability, group cohesion, and acknowledgment of the past are all parts of this whole.
- Winners of the scholarships will be determined based on the following criteria:
- scholastic prowess; and
- importance and quality of the proposed Honors research project.
- The winners will be selected by a committee from the School of Business, Government, and Law. The following criteria must be met by all applicants:
- be a student or recent graduate of an undergraduate program; and
- be enrolled in the final 36 units of a four-year Honours program at Flinders University’s College of Business, Government, and Law in one of those areas for the upcoming academic year; and
- commencing an Honors thesis in one of the five critical dimensions identified by Reconciliation Australia. Race relations, equity, unity, institutional strength, and acknowledging the past are all important factors.
- For the academic years 2021 and 2022, there will be a number of scholarships specifically for students studying in Africa..
- Winners of the scholarships will be determined based on the following criteria:
- scholastic prowess; and
- importance and quality of the proposed Honors research project.
- Within the College of Business, Government, and Law, there will be a Committee in charge of making the selection.
