An Indigenous Honours Scholarship has been established by the College of Business, Government, and Law in order to foster reconciliation. This will be accomplished by increasing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community involvement, retention, and achievement in higher education.

The College of Business, Government, and Law provides financing for the scholarships, and they will be offered for as long as there is sufficient funding in the budget.

Scholarship Offer:

  • After the census date of each semester, the total amount of each scholarship will be divided into equal installments and given out at a total of $5,000. The amount of money that is available will determine how many scholarships can be awarded.

 

The Gustafsson & Skrondal Visiting Scholarship is administered by the University of Oslo’s Centre for Educational Measurement (CEMO). As part of the visiting scholar program, CEMO and the University of Oslo host a number of young researchers from Norway and elsewhere each year.

 

Eligibility for Scholarship.

  • All Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
  • Be enrolled or have completed an undergraduate degree program at Flinders University; Be accepted into an honours program, or the final 36 units of a four year Honours program, in the College of Business, Government, and Law; Be of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; Identify as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; Be accepted as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander by the community in which they live or have lived;
  • The following criteria will be used to choose scholarship recipients:
  • Both the academic merit of the candidate and the quality of the planned honours research project are taken into consideration.
  • Within the College of Business, Government, and Law, there will be a Committee in charge of making the selection.

The Flinders University 2023 Business, Government and Law Honours Scholarship for Indigenous Students is open to all International Students

 

If a student enrolls in one of the degree programs offered by SOAS University of London, they may be eligible to receive a fee waiver award in the amount of £5,000. This award is available to students who are interested in receiving a degree from SOAS University of London.
