The Pepsi Co Company has taken a great step towards financing funding the children of employees that work with the company. The program or foundation covers every 24 year old and under student that wishes to attend an accredited college.

The Pepsi Co Company may just be the most well known foundation out there, with the combined effort of salty snacks and the sugary beverage drink Coca-Cola, the foundation has gone on to philanthropic standards.

The PepsiCo company is made up of seven divisions: PepsiCo Beverages North America; Frito-Lay North America; Quaker Foods North America; Latin America; Europe; Africa, Middle East and South Asia; and Asia Pacific, Australia/New Zealand and Greater China.

Where each place has it’s own rich history and beginning tales of endurance.

The official beginning where everything started can be tracked back to 1898 when the soft drink was originally created as a pharmacy based medicine.

 

Eligibility

  • Remarkably this is for the children of individuals who work for the Pepsi company industry. If a parent has a dependent child under the age of 24 years of age, they are eligible to receive $5,000 USD in tuition funding.
  • This scholarship is in a highly specific category that involves employees of the Pepsi company and only their children are eligible to compete for this scholarship.
  • Students in their last year of high school may apply.
  • Current college freshmen, full-time undergraduate, or even graduate’s may apply.
  • All students applying must be U.S. citizens or residents.
  • Both male and female students may apply.
  • If a parent was fired from the company, that student is not eligible for the scholarship.
  • If a student has a criminal record, they are not eligible for the scholarship.

 

Requirements

For students applying, they will need a copy of their parents work IRS form 1040. This is prove they work at the Pepsi Company.

If a student has already completed 1 year of college, they will need to make official copies of their transcripts, grade point average, and midterm grades.

If a student that is applying, is in their last year of high school, transcripts will be requested.

All information on the scholarship form must be filled out and nothing should be left blank, if there are blanks or misinformation the application will be deemed incomplete.

 

How to Apply

Students will need to fill out the scholarship online form, and with the help of their parents, make copies of official documents. They can be photo scanned.

There are a number of documents needed, and students may be asked to provided additional official papers.

A student can ask their parents for help when it comes to filling out the application, however, it must be the student themselves that fills out the application via online. There is no printing out a scholarship application and sending it through the postal service. Students may only submit their application through the online portal located on the original website.

For example there is the AMESA sector which consists of the Africa, Middle East and South Asia regions, where local snacks including Chipsy (Egypt), Simba (South Africa) and Kurkure (India and Pakistan), 7UP, Pepsi, Aquafina, Mtn Dew, Mirinda, and Sting. The AMESA sector covers key countries of Egypt, India, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and South Africa.

 

Reward – Extra Benefits

All the applicants that have been chosen will be notified in June of 2022 of their rewards.

Students will receive $5,000 that will go to paying off tuition and any excess fees. This is strictly an educational fund and if the funding goes to something else other than education, there are rules that the student will need to pay back what they did not use to go towards tuition or equipment/textbook fees.

Students that request deferred or time off, will loose the aspects of this scholarship.

 

Deadline

The deadline occurs early in the year, for 2022 the deadline has already passed. Students will need to wait till 2023 to apply for the scholarship. The deadline has changed from January to February 2022, so students will need to keep a very close eye on the deadline and website.

While this branch of the PepsiCo Foundation is only related to the United States and residents of the United States. International students should check with their country and it’s associated with the PepsiCo foundation. The PepsiCo foundation has a number of countries that are headquarters where many many people work there. Making international student eligible in their own country if their parent works at a PepsiCo place.

 

Open Submission Window Time Frame

The open submission window will open back up in the Winter of 2022. The official deadline date has not been announced for 2023, but the regular deadline will be held in the beginning of 2023.

We suggest to students who actively want to apply to this scholarship to check with the listed website frequently. Annual

This is an annual scholarship that has official deadline dates that must be followed.

This is an odd renewable annual ‘only eligible student who have parents that worked for the company’ scholarship from the Pepsi Company. They do present to all their chosen students each year, a certain level of eligibility that Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. students can apply to. So this could be considered a renewable scholarship however, it is open to each student who has admissions to an accredited institution.
