About the Scholarship Provider:
Since its inception in 1881, the University of Dundee has served the public as a free, comprehensive research university. An essential part of the foundation of St. Andrews University. It wasn’t until 1967, after significant growth, that it was officially recognised as a university. However, the majority of its long-standing political institutions and historical customs remain unaltered. In the annual Times Higher Education student experience poll, it has consistently been rated the top institution in Scotland. Among the top 30 institutions of higher learning in the United Kingdom.
The main campus is located in Dundee, Scotland. The city of Dundee is home to a number of prestigious educational institutions. Among these are Dundee Law School, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, and Dundee Dental Hospital and School. Ninewells Hospital houses the university’s medical school and clinical research centre, while Perth Royal Infirmary is the university’s teaching hospital. The 10 faculties of Dundee include a wide range of subject areas, and each has its own research facility. About 18000 students representing 145 nations and over 3000 academics and staff call this institution home. At this school, both undergraduates and graduates have a good chance of succeeding academically. The university scored highly among the best in the UK in the latest iteration of the International Student Barometer, a survey conducted by students all over the world to gauge their level of satisfaction with their educational experiences.
In addition, the school’s prestigious reputation rests on the shoulders of its wealthy former students. The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Sir James Black, a former chancellor and medical student. Former professor and first living recipient of the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, Ronald Coase taught at the university from 1932 to 1934 at the School of Economics and Commerce. The university’s alumni association includes well-known people from many different professions. Due to the university’s emphasis on vocational and professional degrees, Dundee and its surrounding area consistently rate highly in polls assessing graduate employment. Several departments provide internship and work shadowing experiences, and each student has their own webpage devoted to their own academic development, both of which contribute to a high level of student satisfaction at the University of Dundee.
International students will be greeted by University of Dundee staff at Edinburgh Airport, where they will be given welcome packs containing local resources and information to help them settle into life in Scotland. The Overseas Advice Service is accessible year-round to aid with visa issues and other concerns, and there are events planned expressly for international students. Dundee, the country’s fourth-largest city, is nestled on the banks of the River Tay in Scotland’s eastern lowlands. One of the most cost-effective places to acquire a British education, with tuition and living costs 14% below the national average. Dundee, Scotland’s sunniest city and the United Kingdom’s first UNESCO City of Design, now has a branch of the Victoria and Albert Museum open to the public.
Dundee Airport is the only airport in Scotland with direct connection to London City Airport from Heathrow and Gatwick, and it is also the only airport in Scotland that offers international flights in addition to Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Aberdeen Airports. By producing, disseminating, and putting into practise new information, the University of Dundee helps people all around the world. Students and staff from about 145 countries are attracted to the University because of its reputation for world-class research and its comprehensive array of advanced degree programmes. This school is ahead of the curve when it comes to providing its students with the most cutting-edge technological resources available, including keyhole surgery and flat-screen televisions. Many influential people in politics, business, and social justice have called Dundee home after graduating. During the pre-sessional time, international students have access to free English language classes that focus on topics such as academic writing, seminar skills, listening, and note-taking.
