Miss Isobel Robinson (1916-2010), in memory of her family, who farmed in the Nagambie-Seymour district for many years and whose brother Frederick Singleton Robinson graduated from Dookie in 1939, established the Robinson Family Scholarship in 2009. This was done to honor her family’s legacy. Miss Isobel Robinson passed away in 2010.

This scholarship may be able to help you financially with study and living expenses if you have a connection to the Nagambie-Seymour-Yea-Kilmore District or the Mitchell Shire, are starting or are currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, are in financial need, and can demonstrate academic achievement. If you meet all of these requirements, you may be eligible for this scholarship.

Due to the city’s location on a peninsula that protrudes into the ocean, residents of Melbourne often grumble about the city’s unpredictable weather. Melbourne’s location, at the point where the dry interior and the temperate waters of the Southern Ocean meet, contributes to the city’s mild climate. After prolonged exposure, extreme cold fronts might form. As spring and summer progress, you’ll be able to see it more clearly. Extreme cold, hail, severe thunderstorms, and strong winds are all possible as these fronts move across the country. Also, they may cause widespread cooling and extended precipitation. Melbourne’s average winter lows are 20° to 30°F lower than those of the other mainland state capitals in Australia. Temperatures as low as -2.8 degrees Celsius have been recorded, though snow is rather rare. Frost and fog are more common than snow in Melbourne throughout the winter. For the next fall months, a warm coat made in Canada is preferable to just a jacket.
