Scholarship details
The School of Nursing and Midwifery, Tehran University of Medical Sciences with its rich history, is a distinguished nursing school among all nursing schools in Iran and in the region. It is situated in one of the oldest university campuses at the heart of Tehran, next to Imam Khomeini Hospital. Established in 1936, it is proud of its history of more than 70 years of nursing education and its pioneering position in nursing and midwifery research. The nursing education program in the school began as a two-year hospital-based diploma then expanded to a three-year Bachelor’s degree program in nursing. Furthermore, it steadily developed over the years and included a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs.
Eligibility & Requirement
- Students who are interested in such announced opportunities are encouraged to include their request and the reason why they should be awarded a scholarship in their letter of motivation.
- All accepted applicants will be awarded the post-doctorate scholarship.
- All applicants must have an accurate required student visa.
- International students from other countries are accepted.
- Academic Grade Point Average (GPA): Minimum 3.00/4.00 (or it’s equivalent).
How to Apply
There is no application fee for this scholarship.
The only way to provide an official application form is by sending in a request letter and send it along with any other required documents through the Online Application Form section.
Students wishing to study and win this scholarship must be accepted to this university. The admission procedure takes about 3 months for applications that have been submitted successfully.
Reward
TUMS provides all students with computer labs, a library, and Wi-Fi Internet access at the dormitories, as well as a partial lunch plan. If you apply for and are accepted to receive a post-doctorate Scholarship, TUMS provides you with a partial scholarship regarding accommodation; Persian language classes for students who are interested or required to attend the classes; and English language classes for students who are interested or required to attend the classes.
Deadline & Annual
The deadline dates are aligned with the Spring and Fall incoming semester of new students. The Spring semester is closed but the Fall admissions will reopen in September 2021. This is an annual scholarship.
