Swansea University encourages all international students to apply for the International Excellence Scholarship intended for the students who will be commencing their undergraduate and master’s degree for the academic year of 2022-2023. The scholarship was established to help international students with their financial circumstances and to fulfill their higher education at one of the most prestigious universities in the United Kingdom.

The international students who want to apply for the scholarship offered by Swansea University must be able to demonstrate their potential and academic excellence, a scholarship amount of £6,000 will be awarded to the successful students as a tuition fee discount on an eligible course offered by the university.

Scholarship Eligibility 

Before proceeding with the application the students must meet the following eligibility:

  • The applicants must be classified as overseas paying fee international students, or UK students. Keep in mind that if the successful students change their paying fee status, the scholarship will be removed by Swansea University.
  • The applicants must have a place of an offer to study at the university.
  • Students with Ph.D. degree levels and research will not be eligible to apply.
  • Only students who will be admitted in the given eligible courses below will be eligible to apply.
  • The students who progress to their college at Swansea University and are currently admitted will not be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Alumni are encouraged to apply.
  • The applicants must demonstrate their academic achievements and performance and they are committed to maintaining their academics at Swansea University.
  • The applicants must be self-funded and not currently receiving any scholarship from other universities, institutions, governments, or private sectors.

Application Process 

Interested applicants may start their application at an online portal provided by the university. The application form can be completed offline and must be submitted at [email protected]

Keep in mind that applicants must check the academic entry requirements.

The Apply System application allows you to view the progress of your application system. A unique reference number is assigned at the time of application. You can use this reference number to upload the saved application form. Unfinished applications can be returned up to one month after the start. If you applied online, you will be notified regularly by email of the progress of your application. When the application arrives, when the department decides on the application, and when the decision is sent, it is sent to the department’s admissions tutor.

The application will be considered complete once all the required documents have been submitted and received. Once the application has been received and evaluated all applicants will be notified of the scholarship committee’s decision and will the shortlisted students will be invited for an interview. Expect the acknowledgment of the application in ten working days.

Scholarship Benefits 

Swansea University will award the successful students with a total value of £6,000 that can be used for their tuition fee discounts. The scholarship award can only be applied to the tuition fee for the stated academic year at the offer letter.

Successful students must confirm their acceptance for the scholarship. The scholarship will only be available for the first year of studies of the students and can possibly be renewed depending on the scholarship committee’s decision.

Scholarship Deadline 

The deadline to complete and submit the application is until August 22, 2022. Late and incomplete application will not be considered.
