Scholarship details
The government of Taiwan, through its ICDF program, offers undergraduate/undergraduate and graduate scholarships for Latin American students.
The International Cooperation and Fund (ICDF) is a scholarship program offered by the government of Taiwan that funds international students in programs of:
- Bachelor / undergraduate
- master’s degree
- Doctorate
Today the program has more than 21 partner universities in Taiwan offering around 30 academic programs in all areas of study.
Eligibility Criteria for Taiwan Government Undergraduate / Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships
This scholarship is intended for different nationalities, including citizens of the following Latin American countries :
- Argentina
- Bolivia
- Brazil
- Colombia
- Ecuador
- Guatemala
- Honduras
- Mexico
- Nicaragua
- Paraguay
- Peru
- Uruguay
In addition, those interested must meet the admission requirements of each academic program. Similarly, and given that the language of instruction is English, those interested must prove proficiency in this language.
Scholarship program benefits
Taiwan Government Fellows will receive the following benefits:
- Exemption from tuition fees
- Accommodation in university dormitories
- Health insurance
- Books related to the academic program
Likewise, students will receive a monthly stipend that varies depending on the academic program:
- Undergraduate / Bachelor: NT $ 12,000
- Master: NT $ 15,000
- PhD: NT $ 17,000
Application process and important dates
The application process for the Taiwan Government Undergraduate / Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships is done through the Embassy or Consulate in each country. Therefore, it is recommended to review the process and required documentation in advance.
Finally, this program opens annually, applications usually start in January and close in mid-March.
