The Chalmers University of Technology offers a doctoral fellowship in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, for international students successful. Academic session 2022/2023.
The project aims to develop a design guide for wooden structures that are adaptable to changes in use and local damage to structural elements by introducing the concept of Design for Adaptation (DfA).
Applicants should have a good understanding of structural engineering and enjoy both experimental and analytical work. In addition, they must have some knowledge, courses, and/or a master’s thesis project in wood engineering, wood materials science, life cycle engineering, finite element analysis, programming (e.g. Matlab and/or Python), simulation and computational methods, or other areas of direct relevance to research.

Package Offered:
- The scholarship offers full-time employment, with a monthly salary paid at Chalmers for a maximum of two years.
- The scholarship does not cover travel expenses, medical insurance, or study materials.
Requirements:
- Eligible Course(s): PhD at Chalmers Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
