Scholarship details
The Google Europe Scholarship for Students with Disabilities for this time is specifically for Lund University since students can choose a university to attend in Europe for this scholarship.
The Lund University Global Scholarship Program is available to both Bachelor’s and Master’s level students. This scholarship program is purely based on academic merit, which will find select students that are deemed eligible based on their high academic grades, test score, or achievements.
Eligibility
- Open to students that have a disability. Students may need to present a doctor prescription or a doctor’s letter information the scholarship committee of the student’s disability.
- Students will need to be enrolled in an undergraduate program and university. In this case, we are using Lund University as the optional case.
- The academics required, or at least the subject field required for this is computer science, informatics, computer engineering, or a related subject field.
- The student must show leadership skills, and demonstrate a passion for this chosen subject field.
Requirements
All students are asked to complete an online application. A strong academic performance and background is considered the highest priority for this scholarship.
The way students will be selected includes the company EmployAbility who will be reviewing applications on an ongoing basis, along with providing necessary and informational feedback, and how the students scholarship opportunity is looking. This means if the student is a good fit for this scholarship or not.
How to Apply
The information needed when applying for the online application includes these:
- Background information, such as contact information and details about current universities)
- A resume is needed
- One letter of reference from a professor or instructor
- All academic transcripts
The way students are chosen for this scholarship is based on the overall strength of their essay and application materials sent in.
Reward – Extra Benefits
With the reward, students will receive 7,000 EUR to the university of there choice, or as we are depicting Lund University as the chosen option. The 7,000 EUR would go directly towards paying tuition costs.
It is not stated if the amount in total should be spent solely on tuition, but as suspected, certain universities only allow scholarship funding to be spent on specific sections of a students tuition. Such as tuition fees, book fees, or transportation.
Student Visa
International students will be able to follow a general guide that can be asked for at the embassy or online through a government website about successfully applying for a student visa without trouble. As of right now, applying at your earliest convenience is important.
Open Submission Window Time Frame
The open submission window follows the time frame of the Autumn and Spring academic semesters. For the Autumn time frame students should apply between Mid-October 2022 to January 16, 2023.
The next time frame is between the Spring semester which is early June 2023 to August 15, 2023.
So there is plenty of time to apply for the Spring edition of the Lund University sessions.
Deadline Time Line
The deadline applications is from the Autumn (Mid-October 2022 to January 16, 2023) or the Spring option (early June 2023 to August 15, 2023).
Deadline extensions are optional to students that are pursuing a time to send in their application. This may be do to unforeseen circumstances, as students will need to talk with the admissions office to figure out what will be optional for them.
